Mr. Ahn designed several candidate for Dredd 3D artwok then We internally discussed final artwork but We have decided to hear our customer voice over following two artwork candidates.

Woke up around 7:10am randomly (this went live 6am UK time... but I had a late night so cancelled my alarm for this), grabbed my phone, pre-ordered the black PET edition via their site within a few seconds.

i dont think its a question of low popularity. more like a question of unfortunate timing.

most people get paid at the end of the month, right? so this coming pay day will be the last before Christmas. ie not a time to splash out on yourself (unless you are selfish, like me.)

everyone knows this time is expensive, and what money you do have will most likely be spent on other people. gifts, food. not to mention the sales, where its likely most people would do most of their spending.

Nova may as well have made this go live on christmas day. its poor timing.

had it gone live on October 27th, i think it would have been a totally different story. same for Inside Out.

another reason im sure its not about low popularity- many retailers jumped on the Dredd bandwagon all at once. the japanese release was highly regarded, and a steel was much requested in the west... and we got it... but i think we got too much. Zavvi, Film Arena and Nova all trying to make something special of it.

Zavvi released theirs first, film arena got their pre-orders long before nova... so again, its poor timing.

but i still think the nova is the best over all package

The J.S.A One-click is still available(unlike Dredd) and aside from the Nightcrawler One-click, all the individual editions are still available, so not exactly what your point is.

My point is that the servers could not cope with the, relatively low, demand at the time those titles went live. On both occasions they crashed out to the Magneto screen for the first 30 minutes, before recovering. That didn't happen this time.

Fourth Steelbook release of Dredd. 4K print run. Fifth in the making. Another 4K print run. Who knows Blufans could release one. Keep releasing like this and one day we will have 1000 Steels of just 100 films.
