I have asked CDJapan the reason for it does not specify in its title the word steelbook and I have answered this:

Just in case, please note that the material isn't steel.

It will look like the image they posted on the official
blog below, but we've been told that the material
will be cardboard that will only look metallic.

Obviously they dont know what they are talking about or something definitely got lost in translation! It says Steelbook on the description of the item.

Also Cdjapan usually dosent put the word steelbook on page titles, checkout Lockout for example...

What I find puzzling is how Avengers was shot in 2D and then converted to 3D in post production whereas Dredd was shot in 3D yet shows only a tiny percentage of 3D depth of Avengers (and other conversions).

It's just in the way Dredd was filmed & edited.

Titanic is, imo, probably the best looking 3D Blu-ray available and it obviously wasn't filmed in 3D. A high-end conversion (Titanic, Avengers) will look just as good, if not better than, filmed-in 3D.

Preordered this one from HMV.jp (together with Amadeus). This is a gorgeous looking steelbook and I absolutely love this film so this was a no-brainer for me despite its high pricetag. The style, pacing and action in this movie were right up my alley, felt very Drive influenced in style and over the top scenes of action (although this was filmed before Drive's release so it couldn't have been)
