Amazon.jp are sending me a replacement for my dented one, but have said as its a single item it will be packaged in the same way as the first. Fingers crossed it makes it in one piece this time.

Have that asked you to return the damaged copy ?

Same here. I'm less bothered about the charges (it's pretty standard whenever i get anything from Japan as they always ship by courier), I just want them to get their fingers out and deliver the damn thing!

JP -> USA -> UK is the way to go.

Its quite hard to photograph. But in hand it looks way better and is quite a beauty I think. Really happy with it...

A much better improvement from my previous order. Even though it's the same bubblewrap method which is not enough. They we're able to place air bags on all 5 sides making it harder to move during shipment.

My replacement Dredd turned up today and was thankfully mint. Does anyone know if DHL send out receipts for customs payments? I need to claim the charges back for the replacement copy.

By law they have to supply a receipt for any payments made, tho you may need to request it.
I remember when amazon.ca sent replacements for 9 damaged Steelbooks they refunded any duty I had to pay on the replacements. You may want to contact amz.JP regarding this.

Cheers, it was amazon Japan that told me I can claim the customs charges back, but that I would need to send them a copy of the receipt. Will see if I receive anything from DHL over the next couple of days, and if not ill contact them to chase.
