Guys,

Just found out about this, not exactly exclusive edition or some sort, but this might count as some consolation for those missing out on the exclusive retailer release :joy:

Purchase Link: YESASIA
Price: $44.99
Expected Release Date: December 12, 2014

If this appears in identical formats as the so called Nova Exclusives. Lenti and full slip with the only difference being the logos, then I will be gone too.
I'd like to know before next week so I can cancel my orders and stick with the FS one.

I take your point about the probable 1/4 slip placement. "Kimchi" Rush turned up as a 1/4 slip on Yesasia. What I'm concerned about is the slip and extras that are supposed to make it an exclusive steelbook to Nova.
Hence the NE001 stamped all over the spine of the slip. E for exclusive not "well it might be, or it might not" !!!!!!
Until somebody comes out and sets the record straight, this is doing Novas reputation even more damage. If that were possible!!!

I'm sure this will be the same as Korean Terminator 2. It came with the nice slipcase (as did Kimchis) but inside the box was empty (as in no cards or anything, just the disc obviously!) The extras (photo cards etc...) are what made it exclusive.

Let's hope you are right. That's why I have kimchi T2 and not the domestic one. Be nice to have someone from Nova confirm it. [emoji106]

Well yesasia's pictures tell otherwise.

They are showing the booklet, art cards and postcards.

So if that eventually turns out to be true, we all have been through a lot of headache just for a numbered sticker on the bottom.

Shucks.....

Note that with Kimchi Rush steelbook it was known (in the Kimchi Rush exclusive steelbook thread) at least a week before the pre-order for the Kimchi Rush exclusive went live, that there is also going to be a non-exclusive, regular Korean 1/4 slip Rush steelbook release. So it didn't really just suddenly "turn up on Yesasia".

Doesn't this make the Nova editions all the more desirable for completionists like myself who want the Nova Collection?

There's always gunna be shakes and fakes. But Nova's the real deal Holyfield

I forsee, the nova Lenti will settle at $150 and this will settle at $90

Nope it will have the exact opposite effect and lower the price, as it has done on all the other Korean titles that popped up minus a sticker, T2 being the most famous. T2 Kimchi dropped heavily in price soon as the non Kimchi stickered version hit the second hand market which is when I picked it up new and mint for less than cost. Same with Leon and several others. The Nova will most likely settle in around the $75 mark once the dust settles with the Lenti maybe at around $85. Over time the Nova might increase in value as it gets older and becomes harder to find, but as of right now this version just knocked the stuffing out of the exclusive version completely. Those that open them and don't keep the sticker will basically have the same product minus Nova's logo.

Non of the normal Korean retailers have this. That is quite odd for any release that native retailers don't have stock yet YA seem to have it even though not based in S. Korea

sad to say, if they are trying to build a loyal client base, this is a major setback
1. CA TWS had to have 3 preorder times
2. Drive had that 3 hour bloodbath and now an almost identical PACKAGE sans the numbered sticker appeared in YA (i can understand if this will turn out as T2 Kimchi sans the artcard/number atleast the goodies are atleast exclusive; will be the same as those Kimchi Collection/Nova Choice/BF OAB)

i will give the benefit of the doubt as YA placed Memento (the exact Kimchi package before changing it as the nonexclusive quarterslip). let's hope someone from Nova will be able to clarify this.

Not that mate, same packaging without the NM sticker
Last I checked they have the same artwork. Wouldn't that make it same steelbook minus the NM sticker?

It is annoying but I don't think this is going to drastically lower the value based on how the Kimchi exclusives have faired so far.
I think so too. Kimchi has a lot more reputation than NM. And I think Kimchi is also better as a company. So as long as Kimchi doesn't continue making non-exclusive versions, they should be good.

Interesting, I cannot find the Drive nova exclusive steelbooks on their website anymore. :( However, my order is still standing. This tastes stranger and stranger by the minute. Anyone able to track the editions down on nova's website?

I'm just thinking...Is this an over-production from NM and sold on to YesAsia?
I'm thinking the sometimes "shared" release of the bare steelbook, but in this case, the YesAsia release has the goodies except for the lenti? So it could be something a little different is going on G.

NM could've held on to a possible "overproduction" and sold them, themselves and kept the profit. They knew the demand the day the pre-orders were placed.

Also, you know the NM lentis will bring more on the secondary market than the YesAsia version.
