I don't get the 'shipped without the disc' thing. The disc itself is literally $1 to produce and the push of a button for them to burn!

I requested they ship the case emprt, that way I didn't have to return the original Steelbook back.

Yep I did exactly the same on my Cap WS steel, kept the full slip and damaged steel and asked for an empty case which came within a week. Found their service in this regard excellent.

@psychoscot so I decide on the rare occasion to open a steel, decided ''as per the comments on the spot gloss that the Nova was the one to open'', so I opened my Nova and of course it is damaged. looking at it straight it's not obvious, but when I play with the light to see the spot gloss is when I saw a scratch going from top of steel to bellow the title and also a small dent. My OCD self isn't happy to have a less than perfect copy which Is what I paid for.

I know they are OOS right now, but what should I write Nova ? just ask them for an empty steel ?

You could try, but if it's completely OOS they may not have one to replace it with.

I imagine Nova sell most of their stock, keep a few copies in case there are damaged copies reported, then if people haven't reported damage after a certain amount of time any remaining copies that got held back go up for sale.

That's the way I'd have thought it would be sensible do things at least.

If you want a replacement empty case contact them on Facebook by private message with photos of the damage. They will respond fairly fast. If you contact them through their site they take MUCH longer [emoji3]

oh I'm one of those that is not on the web, I removed myself from facebook a while back, nice to feel disconnected ... I emailed them and they said that they would send me replacement with my next order but don't plan on ordering GOTG just Divergent but who knows when they will release it... so I asked them if it was possible to ship it before. I guess I'll wait for response, but thank you for your message

that is what I replied to them, told them I wasn't expecting to buy anything until Divergent and if possible to ship it before. I hope they will if they have done that for you...

for the few times I open a steel, it had to be damaged ...but true the spot gloss I had never seen a treatment on a steel like this (only been collecting since early this year so it's all new to me, but I do agree this spot gloss is impressive, you have to see it to know what it means...

I ordered this along with something else and it arrived today. However, they sent me the regular Steelbook and not the Nova Choice. Sent them an email not long ago and they got back to me saying they can send me the 1/4 slip and cards separately. I'm not 100% on this yet, but this is what they implied. Don't know how that works unless they have spares or damaged returns.

Thanks so much for that helpful tip, I have done what you said, wrote them back and stated it would be nice if they could ship me the empty steel before my next order and they have just done so, it was not shrink wrapped but FLAWLESS and they bubble wrapped it as if it was a brand new purchase strong box and plenty of layers of bubble wrap, steel for this release definitely best treatment is Korea !!! The Spot Gloss is insane, I just had to switch my disks, bonus cards and j-card and it looks stunning ! WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, they are having a rough time with their server but they show that they care.
