@paulboland

The German Version is Classified 12 and the UK version is classified 15... is that just the difference in tolerance between the 2 country or since it is rated 12 German Version we can assume that it would be edited ? The Amaray on Amazon.com seems for sure unedited since it is Rated: R (Restricted).

Any advice ?

Hmm, that sucks.

German ratings are mostly more strict. Even video games has blood etc edited out.

Gotta find out, this wouldn't be nice if it was edited in any way.

So I'll ask again @Hatori if Ex Machina In Germany was Edited as it got a Classification 12 (and every other country is 15 and higher)

That would be really nice to know :)

I missed the chance last week to download a USA Blu-ray rip of the film so I wont be in a position to compare the USA to UK Blu-ray
There has been no actual full reviews of the Blu-ray yet but that should change in next few days
It should be known though soon if there is any differences or any cuts

No it´s not The Classification is just simply 12. There is no Editing. In the last years the germans are easygoing with the ratings :)

so why The Classification is just 12 if no editing to be up to where the other country are at around 14A(US) to 15(UK) ? sorry to be asking all of this but I find this puzzling... but I guess it's no biggy

Because the Classification is different in some countries than in others, like in this case.

I think I'm just going to wait for the price drop like what happened with Lucy.

Good luck. Lucy was a bad film. This actually has a pretty good score on imdb with only a 2000 print run and the USA blu-ray release is a ways away so I don't expect it to go down in price. I don't think it will be in stock very long once cancellations take place.

This is definitely one of the hottest steelbooks of the year. It was sold out super fast and if any will come back in stock it will sell so fast many won't be able to react. I don't see price drops with this title and it won't remain in stock like Lucy.

Yep, so many people complained they missed this, it won't last long. Those hoping for a price drop can kiss goodbye to owning this version unless they get lucky on the secondary market.

@Actarus The difference is only the classification. Both versions have the same runtime and the usual websites in Germany confirm that the german version is the same as the UK version.;)

I managed to snaffle one when it briefly came back in stock after the first wave of cancellations. Expect a second wave when those with payment issues go back on sale, but not for very long....

I still think it will be in stock for a while I think recently too many films have sold out and people worry it won't come back but has done and stayed. Granted Lucy got bad reviews but I'm sure a lot of people still wanted the steel originally.

when has a zavvi steel sold out and never come back in stock? i think there have only been a dozen or so occasions where the film was sold out, stayed sold out, and any copies that did become available snapped up immediately- literally blink and you'l miss it. frozen, captain america winter soldier, there will be blood, dusk till dawn, lion king, maleficent, army of darkness, jumanji, roger rabbit... maybe a few more.

there are loads of titles which people expected to be as elusive as those above that can still be bought today, at bargain bin prices. some of those titles were stated as being 'the last few' and are still readily available today.

this ex machina steel is nice, definitely one of the nicest looking so far this year, i will buy because i didnt see it in the cinema and it looks amazing, but i dont think its going to join that very rare list of titles in the zavvi 'perminantly sold out hall of fame', not right off the bat.

but i may be wrong, thats why i pre-ordered it lol
