taboao is like eBay but all are fixed price auction... I just checked now, there are altogether 6 sellers !

Asking prices range from 550CNY to 1000CNY. Cheaper ones are from the 2nd 500 batch without booklet.

Is it safe to assume the cheaper ones having dents or scratches? After viewing this thread it seemed a quite a few people had manufactures scratches on the edges.

It's very much possible but the seller will be very honest about the conditions of the steels.

Also taobao has a payment system very much like PayPal. The fund will not be released to the seller if the buyer is not happy with the product received.

I finally got my 2 copies today from the GB. Both had some very tiny 1 mm scratches or minor pinsize paintchips. Was that a standard on these from production?!

Most are located on the spine or where you open it, not on the front though.

I hate paintchips and i hate being OCD!!

My copy had paint chips when it was still sealed, so they are from production. But they are very small so they don't bother me. And luckily no dents.
What kind of company did these Steelbooks? I know it was Blufans but what kind of company is that?
Do they make other Steelbooks too?

Yes, most of the copy came like that. you should count yourself lucky if you have a copy on hand. Just don't look at the paint chip part.

They are not company, just a forums from China but they have good resources in getting titles released by scanavo or Viva.

The factory that produces this batch of steelbook is from Hong Kong, surprise right ? I thought they should have done better.
