Feedback Wanted: Video Game SteelBook Console Logos

As you can see on this SteelBook case the PS4 logo is plastered on it. (printed on the steelbook)

Do you like this? Or would you rather have console logos either not on them or on a plastic sleeve etc?

All logos should be on a plastic slip. In this case the logo is redundant anyway, I'm pretty sure anyone buying this edition would be aware that it's a PS4 exclusive

That is just horrible. If it's much smaller, i wont mind it. But is there anyone that wants such big PS4 logo? What was the designer thinking?

If it was up to me, just the 'PS' logo will do on the top left (smaller of course) no need for the 'PS4' logo.

Having them on the spine is enough, and I do actually like it on there... but adding them any where else is OTT and unattractive. However, if they insist on using them, then I'd rather they put it on a plastic slipcase rather than the Steelbook itself.

If they feel it's necessary use a logo, then why not make it small and just a sticker? leave it on the spine or back.

Yes, Of course logos should be on the steelbook. Those PS4 Logos mean there is a nice continuity across the Sony published steelbooks.

These are boxes to keep games in, they are not intended to be anything more. If you want to collect art; buy an Artbook or buy a print from Cook & Becker

What? You've just posted a photograph of a load of steelbooks from multiplatform games published by half a dozen publishers?

The only one of those that is a UK steelbook published by Sony is Horizon. Sony 1st Party games have a very deliberate design:

They look great together

Each to their own but it was said earlier in this thread that if the game's a PS4 exclusive then it doesn't the logo taking up a huge chunk of the cover and sometimes the back to. The spine logo is fine. All of those steelbook you've posted would be enhanced if they lost the front PS4 logo.

For me it's like a film steelbook. You don't get huge studio logos on the cover unless its legitimately part of the artwork.

Thanks for sharing... seeing those photos has reminded me just how much of an eyesore the PS4 logo really is.

Uncharted 4, The Last of Us Remastered and the mock up for Persona 5 (unfortunately it could still end up on the actual release) don't include the logo at the top left, all look better without it IMO

Voted Yes. Pet slips are fine but pretty useless for me personally. A console identifier doesn't ruin it for me at all. In the minority here off course.

I'm not sure, but most U.S. video game steelbooks do not have the printed PS4 logo on them. Is it mostly a Europe thing? I would prefer logo on spine.
