I don't think we should compare/bash KimchiDVD and BluFans versions. Both are great companies who are very respectfully considerate of fans. KimchiDVD did the best with the Steelbook they were given at a moderately reasonable price and in a timely manner. People were praising the set until Blufans came up with their sets. In my opinion, I think BluFans stepped up their game so much because of KimchiDVD so we should thank Kimchi. They catered to the people that wanted it in a timely manner while people who are willing to wait for quality in a Blufans version at a higher price. Both types of fans can choose what they want and in some cases (as with me) are picking up both a KimchiDVD and a Blufans version. No need to compare, just enjoy the sets...and most importantly, the movie.

I'm still praising Kimchi, and like I've mentioned before they did one of the best 1/4 slip of the year with their super 1/4 slip exclusive. Kimchi's Frozen Exclusive Release is one or the best release they have done. I don't believe that it's a time issue, it's a collector's perspective: we on this thread have mentioned many times that we do not mind waiting to have a beautiful product down the line with Frozen BF, they are committed in releasing a beautiful product, they follow up with Scanavo, demands more proofs sample of the steel and they are doing right, we are happy to wait. In term of the higher price I tend to disagree, they were selling for about similar price (retail). Don't forget that some Frozen Kimchi are selling 300$+ for some copies on Ebay.

It's 2 different product even though it's the same movie, IMO it's still apple and oranges... they're so many factors that differentiate the Kimchi release from the Blufans release.

Why would you want to trade any of the blufan editions for a kimchidvd version? Why not just buy a generic look steelbook from another country i.e. Australia and have the blufans too?

I wouldn't want to trade any blufans edition for the kimchidvd. Only difference, that I know of, between the Kimchidvd version and the other world wide releases are that the Kimchidvd version has character cards and that sweet clear slip. The 1/4 is unique if you're into 1/4 slips but the lenticular will be printed on the UE and the Elsa editions so that's not too special.

IMO the blufans editions are way more valuable than the kimchidvd ones. The blufans also include (or still is described to include) the OST on the Anna, Elsa, and UE. They also come with a themed booklet, or both booklets and a DVD with the UE.

OST included and a WEA steelbook with the title actually printed on the steel, I would be disappointed if the blufans was priced equally with the kimchidvd versions when the blufans is released (unless the printing on the blufans was really bad, which I doubt it will be). To me the UE really is the ultimate edition to own for any fan of the movie.

Kimchidvd Lenti is like going to the theater and watching a movie.
Blufans UE would be like going to the theater and paying the same price to watch IMAX 3D.

I totally agree with you. I got Blufans BC & BE & OAB series steels:D
Honestly, I have pre-ordered 2 copies of Blufans Frozen UE, but I doesn't have kimchi version. I want to get both, so trade.

Side by side, I still preferblu fans...but kimchi is stepping up. There is nothing wrong with competition...all collectors will benefit. In the end I figure it is more about personal choice...than value.

My wallet wishes they would both do different titles so I didnt have to buy both;)

+1 with you buddy :D

Yes blufans will be wonderful, but still we cannot take away the charm of the Kimchi exclusive release with the numbering cards on the back... I'd say since you will be getting the blufans, maybe think about investing into a 1/4 slip from Kimchi, it has the same back artwork as the lenticular, only difference is the front... the back is the same... plus the 1/4 slip in my opinion are much nicer than the Lenticular... look often on ebay and participate in auctions, or sometimes one pops up not too expensive, if you're willing to pay you could get a nice one, but I would not pay higher than 200$ for a 1/4 slip... maybe later on they will go up in value but in my opinion 200 is the max...that is what I would recommend you, if you want a kimchi get a 1/4 slip... it will be a different addition to your blufans...

Why are you posting the same thing in every thread about how much you love the frozen 1/4 slip and how much you hate the rush print run... We get it, no need to repeat yourself over and over.

ok I get it, no need to take this tone

---------- Post added at 04:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:27 AM ----------

guess I'm mad at kimchi for doing this and I have a tendency to have a hard time to let things go...I don't mean to do this, I guess I wasn't seeing it... didn't think that same people read same thread all the time, I apologize

I subscribe to this thread and I don't understand why we keep getting all these same posts banging on about value and 1/4 slips, 300 print runs, Kimchi??? Blah,Blah,Blah......:hilarious:
Whats that got to do with Blufans Frozen? There is also a seperate thread to talk about prices and value, eBay.....

Both releases are amazing in their own unique way. I love the Blufans version and the Kimchi one too....Enough said.....:D

EDIT: I didn't know Blufans did 1/4 slips....First I've heard....:hilarious: :naughty:

Is the Anna version still scheduled to be up for sale tomorrow? I've been semi-skimming the Blufans forum today with Google Translate but see no link posted yet and no specific mention of the sale date. :emb:

Kimchi lenti version look great, but Blufans will look thrice better because of two sided lenticular slip and WEA steelbook, these are the facts :D But also all depends on taste ;)

But everyone here talking right now only about Kimchi/Blufans lenticular versions, and meanwhile the most unique might be Olaf version, this is not lenticular but artwork on slip looks great and with proper embossing also may look incredible :)
