I missed all the Disney steelbooks and ill be skipping these too, not because I don't like them but purely down to the fact they are all released too close together!! It's hard enough keeping up to all the other steelbook releases so collecting these would be far too difficult/expensive.
I do have all the bluray amaray Disney classics and pixar movies though so will stick to those I think.
Nice looking steelbooks though for those who can keep up.

Well, I'm biased because I love the original steelbook front image and consider it a lovely steelbook except for the unfortunate spine with the tiniest of images on it . . .

Not a fan of the new steelbook front image - an image that has been used previously on many, many releases (yes, I know, just like the original steelbook front image) and I would have preferred something like this from the original poster design by PROOF which I'm thinking would make for another lovely, elegant steelbook front unlike this clunky s*** we are being offered:-

Some of the releases previously to have used the new steelbook artwork:-

Blufans used that for their WEA steelbook

As another Disney Classics steelbook re-release I'm wondering if we are going to be offered more or all of those that were released in 2014 - and the Pixars from 2015 - those that were released in Limited Edition Slipcovers?

RE: DISNEY LENTICULARS: No reason I can come up (apart from cost) as to why Disney can not provide us with the very best lenticulars on the planet and you just have to look back through your collection to the early Double/Triple Play/Anniversary Editions to see some of the very best glossy embossed slipcovers ever produced.

RE: DISNEY LENTICULARS: No reason I can come up (apart from cost) as to why Disney can not provide us with the very best lenticulars on the planet

This is something I don't understand either and you want to know something funny? ....
They already have. So I have no
Idea why they can't do it for the Uk

Obviously lentis are hard to catch on camera but here's a few examples of how great they can be. These are US and Canadian slips and anyone else who owns these will know what I mean

Layers are awesome on this and simbas hair comes through the title looks cool
image.jpeg

Loads of layers and depth on this one too
image.jpeg

The way the arrow sticks out and her hair is very cool
image.jpeg

The way they move round the door is quality and he depth between them and boo is a good one on the eyes
image.jpeg

image.jpeg

Embossed title
image.jpeg

You can see how clear and colourful they are which is why it don't make sense that the marvel ones are so blurry - even the colourful marvel ones like guardians

I also have nemo, tangled, cars 2, and up and the majority also have embossed titles (only wreck it Ralph and NBC in the photos has that) but the colour, depth, movement is amazing on all the lentis. most on par with nova, kimchi and blu fans to a degree

The monsters inc, wreck it Ralph and nightmare before Christmas are my favourites and the embossed title on NBC is awesome

(Originally was going to make my own magnetic lentis a few years back but never bought the other bits so I just kept them as slips)

Got to agree with Disney doing decent lentis on earlier 3d releases, In the UK, The Lion King, Finding Nemo amongst others all look good.
So no reason why this should not be good as well.

The Blufan WEA is the same as the Korean blu Ray slipcover with the OST which is my favourite slip that I have, it really shimmers.
Hopefully a picture of the Korean Slip will show above

Yes, those Limited Slips are totally gorgeous . . . but I didn't buy them (apart from the few released at the end of 2015) because the slip art didn't match the wraparound art on the Amarays.
The few I did buy have matching art - slips and cases - and I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to let me know of any others in the collection like those.

Most of mine have mismatching art as I have collected the slipcovers around the releases I already had. For instance I have the diamond edition of Snow White which now sits under the newer slip rather than the old one.
I plan to replace the mismatching ones when I can as far as possible.
I also have a couple with the U.S. Blu Rays in UK cases.

I missed out on some to start with as I was not going to collect the slips then changed my mind and had to play catch up.
Disney Movie rewards and my local HMV have provided most of them especially through the BOGoff or equivalent.

Have them all the slips now which I am well pleased with as a few have been hard to get, even had the Mrs waiting for HMV to open when the Easter BOGoff started in case LILO and Stitch came up, which it did

Thank you v. much . . . but do you know if any others, apart from those from the tail-end of last year, have artwork matching on both slipcovers and cases ?
Any info on that particular topic greatly appreciated

I will look into it and get back to you. May take a while though.
Maybe take a look on Amazon and Zavvi as well as under my slips
The ones with matching slips and amaray covers also had matching disc art as well

Yes, thanks again, all the pics of the slipcover editions (in my post above) have the original Blu-ray release wraparound art - according to the pics on Amazon - with the only difference being the change of number style from the previous gold ovals to what we have now on the steelbooks and elsewhere
Just curious to know from a fellow collector who has already bought these editions - no rush and totally at your convenience.
Collection looks ace on your shelves

No live date for this yet? One of the few Disney steels I don't own

I think these will go up for order on back Friday judging by the post noodles posted in the Warriors thread from zavvi

They mention a bunch of 3D exclusives going live (guessing the Disney/ Pixar ones) and a bunch of 4K steels and the best price drops in the business (apparently)
