There's no convincing to be done actually, Wreck has already stated that they are steelbooks. He's in direct contact with them and already knows, that's why he created this thread. When Wreck says that they will be steelbooks, then they will be steelbooks without a doubt. 
I actually didn't know anyone even questioned Wreck's info on HDN ever? lol. Always took his info at face value and as true. People questioning him in here need to stop.
I was a sceptic at first, imagine you're sitting at home and iron man 2, sealed, arrives in the post. You know you will never have the first one without giving up like a months wage. Then you log on the internet and get a PM. Browse a few of the threads and there it is, Iron man 1 steelbook release. After all these years, a random iron man steelbook release out of the blue. Not iron man 2, iron man 1. The only steelbook you would trade your collection for. After all the fake announcements on HDN about iron man steels. There it is. Putting that aside, even if it was announced on play.com I would be sceptical until it was in my hand. Even then I would struggle to believe it. It's like when I opened n64 as kid at christmas. Took a few days to sink in if you know what I mean? I still can't completly believe terminator is getting the release it is, for that price! But I was just making the point they wouldn't release a 100 year edition as an amaray.
Just Private Ryan for me. Already have Iron Man amaray case and can't justify buying the same film again just for different packaging.

I think he may be refering the the aust wave that turned out to be Viva metal cases
I wouldn't say that it was an official announcement from HDN, but it was later confirmed by Wreck that they were not steelbooks.
I myself was a bit late to figure that out
I don't know of any fake announcements and those Australian steels have already been confirmed by Wreck to be Vivas so they've been confirmed. Since this thread was created by Wreck and he's in direct contact with the people for this wave then it's pretty much a given that it is what it is.
If you want to be a skeptic then by all mean don't let this community stop you. I would just have a little more faith than you since this community wasn't created on a house of cards. The information is solid once it comes from Wreck. Wreck doesn't post unless he has something viable and concrete to post.
No disrespect to you but please if you don't want to believe in the already confirmed status of this wave then keep that to yourself. The reason I say that is that we have a lot of members here that don't always read from the first post and we don't want them to get the wrong message is all. If you have any questions or positive feedback then by all means let us know. Again, no disrespect to you.
I've edited your post above. Unlike other forums, like blu-ray, we let people speak their mind within reason and have their say. However, the hard work that the staff and mods put in daily to bring the most accurate and up to date news should not be overlooked.
We've spent a lot time working with retailers, the makers of steelbook themselves, and studios to make sure that collectors including even folks as yourself are heard.
Given our long term track record, we do our best to be 100 percent accurate and that work shows, I think.
Now having said that, there is no need for argumentative posts to be made in this thread.

To clarify, I'm not having a pop at Wreck, I'm not having a pop at HDN either. It was one rogue user who posted fake iron man artwork claiming the FS art was being re-released. The first words in the post you quoted were "I WAS a sceptic" WAS being the operative word. This is aside from the fact that I have said i'm CONVINCED already. These words have meanings, look them up.
As for new user's, I am one! For the likes of us who are still finding their feet it isn't helpful to just say "Wreck said it's a steel so it's a steel no convincing needed". We need something a bit more concrete than that as we don't know you all personally. I only doubted Wreck because I didn't know who he was, I certainly didn't know he had the contacts he did. Read the first few pages there are loads of users like myself who needed this clarifying. I only posted once for clarification, that was enough for me.
Other users, including Wreck, have cleared up how it is he knows it's a steel and responded to my posts in a useful manner. You are not helping new users even slightly with your comments.

Everybody chill and have fun ... we dont need no rookie hazing here. We always get new peeps who come here and question things I confirm ... its not going to stop anytime soon, and its ok for people to question ... they just aren't used to this forum yet and haven't been around long enough to see that I confirm stuff all the time. So please all try to stay polite when "backing up" my confirmations. I always have much more info usually at times then I'm allowed to talk about ... so as soon as I post more info, it will always put to rest people who think what I have to say is false. Thus, there is no worry to get in a big fuss. I appreciate all the sentiments, but I'd rather see long time members welcoming and helping new members in a more respectful manner.

No more info? Perhaps you can tell us if they're all G2, embossed, with clean rear cover art, nice internal art, no logos printed on the covers, region free and stuff like that.
