I've been doing research on this one for weeks .... multiple sites claim this UPC and its not a UPC listed on the google doc sheet @ BR.

And its not one of the prior released countries, but still would need one in hand to verify it.

South Africa

What got me really intrigued was it had the white cover with UK ratings logos.

Well, after doing some research with the UPC another site showed the steel with that UPC but showed the cover as the mask edition from the UK which makes more sense. The site admin told me his supplier was from the UK which makes sense with the close ties between UK and South Africa.

He told me he sold alot of Terminator Salvations so that one was in stock too at one point.

Would have been really cool if it was the white edition since they speak all English and all the text on movies are too. However, it seems to be the excact same UK mask one but with diff UPC is all. No idea on the Term Sal since it seems to show some other stock amaray.

Now I do know most of his site is basically just an affiliate version of amazon for US and UK stuff but all stuff with the South African flag next to it is stuff from their country which all comes from their UK supplier. (so you can ignore all other steels as being South African releases)

(Link with both Term Sal. & Gladiator Listing ... notice gladiator barcode)

(Another South African site with Gladiator with same barcode)

If they are legit ... Blu-ray is like in baby stages there.

I've got a SA contact though and they only ship to SA but it wasnt worth spending around $60 just to get a mask version (which I already own) just to have a diff UPC.

Well no matter what at some point they'll probably get on the gravy train. It will be a please ordering from those sites since its English ... that is, if we can find some that ship overseas.

Adding a bit of colour to this thread!!! I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

I have a question of knowledge in multiple releases. Which steelbook has the most releases worldwide including rereleases. Without checking, which is obviously cheating, I think it is the dark knight. Gladiator did have at the time one of the most highly soughted steels namely the TW version.

print run is star wars wave.

diff art and re-releases.... I think you may be right .... franchises probably terminator or transformers

singular .... yeah maybe dark knight ...

There was a wave of South African steels but the market didnt jump on them so they were slowly phased out.

You still get the occasional one but its nowhere near as popular as other countries.

There was a Mad Max Fury Road Futurepak exclusive to retailer Takealot (Once known as Take2) And even Musica (Local music store) had an exclusive Avengers Age of Ultron steel butit was identical to the UK edition.

So to confirm there was an official release for SA? Or did someone just Nick the zavvi steel and put it on the shelf with an exclusive sticker?
