UK Steelbook may have printed text but if is a quality Steelbook. This should have the Australian metal slip artwork.

Ooh this is a difficult one.

On the plus side HDZeta's first two releases were excellent. Gladiator is a Best Picture winner (plus actor, costume sound and visual effects) so it's definitely a worthy title, but...

On the minus side, we've seen multiple releases of Gladiator already. Mad fool I am I already have the German and US steelbooks and I really like the German one.

So at this stage it's not an obvious instant buy.

When we see the artwork, slip and extras we'll probably all be drooling though.

Very interesting. I do own a Gladiator steel, but just the mediocre UK version. So I'd be up for an awesome version, particularly since Gladiator just seems like one of those cool movies that doesn't get as much love as it should. Not so much with Steelbooks (where it's been reasonably represented), but other collectors areas like posters, Hot Toys, etc.. just seem underrepresented. A Hot Toys Russell Crowe Gladiator would be awesome. So an awesome Steelbook would be welcomed. I hope HDZeta knocks it out of the park.

If you like Gladiator, I'd suggest that the ideal compliment to the steelbook is the book - 'Gladiator The making of The Ridley Scott Epic' in hardcover.

The official full-color companion book, featuring excerpts from the screenplay, historical sidebars and illustrations, details on period costumes and epic set designs, behind-the-scenes photographs from the location filming, and interviews with the screenwriters, actors, and director.

Like a lot of you, I was hopping for a film that wasn't release in steel format and to the contrary of iron man which I would buy every single new version of it lol, it's not the case with gladiator! I have the Netherlands edition and I love it, so this is a pass for me! It's cool for the ones that need it!
