Boxset looks awesome but I just don't like that you have to buy 3 of the same steelbook inside one box. This is what Amelie was, and that boxset was gorgeous quality as well, but when it was all said and done, it seemed like a odd situation because the box itself will probably have shrinkwrap, meaning that you have this beautiful sealed box that's sooooo cool, but you can't enjoy all the cool steels and slips and gloss and goodies inside unless you unseal the box. Also, it would be good to know if the steelbooks inside will be sealed individually. They should be, so that if you open the box, you haven't just unsealed 3 steelbooks at once.

All this to say... boxsets are cool, but flexibility for collectors is important to incorporate into it. Hopefully HDZeta will consider these things. One thing I liked about the UP Collector set from Blufans is that the number is only known once you open it. Almost like a surprise lottery ticket inside the box.

Loving the triple box set art, but don't care much for 1/4 slips at all. Looking forward to seeing how the full slip ends up looking, though :)

Slip covers, box sets and metal cards aside this is my most anticipated steelbook of the year

Will probably be my steelbook of the year as well

I agree. I think these triple boxsets are really taking advantage of the steelbook collector. I can see it for a series of 3 different films, but not the same steelbook in 1/4 slip, full, and lenti. Sooner or later the market will implode on itself.

I also wanted to ad that pricing on stuff from China in general should not cost more than the other competition. We are getting beautiful stuff from Korea at a fraction of the cost for the same quality and goodies.

If this was from PA, Kimchi, or Nova it would be around $35 for each release and $100 for the tripack as this is a catalog title.

All good points, Chip!

I am a bit confused. Is there 1300 standalone lentis or only 1300-500=800 lentis if first 500 are going into tripack?

I never have, and never will buy a tri-pak when they are the same film. It makes absolutely no sense, especially when the steelbooks themselves are identical. Tri-pak when the only difference is in the slip? No thanks! Just my opinion though.

I think it's mostly for collectors. However, I see your point of view. The only time I buy box sets is if there's sequels involved.

Hey guys and gals. I'm from Iceland and would love to get in on this GB. Getting a bit tired of paying triple the price on eBay for the great releases that have been coming from Korea and China the last year or two.
That Gladiator release is a must have for me, either lenti or normal slip.
