Just watched, the 3D is immense, film is worthy of being one of the best already this year. Steelbook is okay, its all about the film really.
Here is a direct comparison between the MM edition (DE) on the left and the (UK) on the right.
i'd rather get definitive proof. if someone who has this UK release can post a pic of the front of the blu-ray disc that will usually have printed "region A B C" it would be greatly appreciated.
Got my copy today and it's going back to Amazon. The weird thing is that I get Steelbooks from Best Buy and Target all the time in plain envelopes with no cushioning that come in better shape than Amazon steelbooks lately.

Front on sees much higher contrast and a brighter image on the DE. Plus the glaring great 3D splashed right across the UK edition.

I even swapped it over on the 2nd shot to see if it was just the flash, it was not.

The back is an even black on the DE, the UK shows as wavy uneven lines and appears greyer in tone.

The spine shows not one, but two glaring great 3D texts that totally ruin it.

Wow the glossy finish is superb, please do share how you did that!
man, that massive '3D' just blows. sure wish they hadn't done that.
