Anyone else holding their breath to get this one shipped any day now? I fear some Winter Soldier screw up by zavvi, but who knows

Zavvi are not known for keeping to release dates. I'd rather the item was released late than early. But Zavvi just don't seem to understand that people have budgets and that the early release of a blu-ray can impact on the timing of a person's fiances.

You will know soon enough
If early despatched is allowed this will be shipped on Tue or Wed of next week

If restrictions are in place for release day only it will be Fri 21st to Monday 24th or even Tue 25th

My thoughts exactly, if things were to go "as usual" it should be distpached anywhere between Monday and Wednesday, if not, it'll be Friday or even the week after. Don't know if this is up to Disney or what. I remember the mess with winter soldier, yet with Thor 2 there was no problem.

Disney do have restriction on some new releases but not with back catalogue releases and if a retailer despatches an order early and customers have it in hand before release day they sometimes instruct the distributor to only ship stock to a retailer on release day or after as a penalty

They only do this if a retailer breaks release day restriction a few times after been warned not to do this

Most retailers get early supply of Disney new releases stock and only sell on release day or only despatch so it in hand at earliest on release day if the title released has a restriction

Disney don't have this restriction with all new releases its usually only with titles they decide and only retail shops will know if Guardians of the Galaxy has this restriction it will be on the boxes only to be sold on Monday 24th not before

Both CA: TWS and Maleficent were shipped on release day, but as stated, Thor: TDW was sent early so who knows.

I'm sure Zavvi would like to get them out sooner rather than later, but I imagine to some degree it is out of their hands and depends greatly when they get the stock in.

I do wish people would stop complaining about Zavvi sending things out early because 'they can't afford it'. Titles are released all the time, would everyone be happy if everything in the world was only released on the last day of the month, ie: after pay day? If you're living hand to mouth, maybe you shouldn't be buying steelbooks.

Zavvi were probably forced to sell Maleficent and CA TWS on release day by Disney as punishment for sending out THOR TDW before release date.

They probably only receive the stock the day before, which would explain why they didn't know Maleficent was black instead of white!!

If this was a back catalogue film released with this artwork it was have not have sold out as quickly as it did

As its a new release its for some first time even seeing the film so it was always going to be purchased considering its a marvel film
Most of us pre ordered this without seeing the final artwork so the amount who really were going to cancel would have been less than compared to if it was a back catalogue release
