That's why I got partial refunds on the aforementioned titles, as they were no longer available. Fortunately, on all of these, the defects were relatively minor. One small, almost imperceptible ding, one small scratch on a spine and one small paint chip on the reverse. Where I have received items with more significant damage i.e. noticeable dents, they have thankfully still been in stock for me to insist on a replacement.

If steels arrive damaged from Zavvi, I contact them and explain that it's no good to me because I am a collector, and damages defeat the purpose. It holds no collectors value for me. I ask for a replacement copy.

They reply with an offer of 15% partial refund. (They have to offer this initial partial refund. Its a part of the procedure they are trained to follow when dealing with complaints) (It takes a little going back & forth to get the wheels turning).

I contact their Customer Service Team for a second time. I thank them for their offer, but I decline. I reiterate, and request a replacement copy (again).

They reply for the second time, but this time they offer a 50% discount (again people, it seems this is a procedure they must follow when dealing with these kinds of complaints, don't let it dissuade you).

I contact the Zavvi Customer Service Service Team for the third & final time. I thank them for their offer of a 50% refund, but I decline the offer (again). Once more I reiterate. I ask them to check my account history to confirm that I am a good customer. I tell them it's unacceptable. Id like either a FULL REFUND or a REPLACMENT COPY please. Thanks for your time.

They contact me (for the 3rd time) and tell me they are gunna issue a FULL REFUND or I just get a normal DESPATCHED email.

CASE CLOSED. Persistence people, it pays off. I have gone through this Many times with Zavvi. I actually thought they were going to BLACKLIST me at one point because this became a regular thing. I thought they would think that I was trying to scam them, but really Im just @NoDingsNoScratches

^^^ Times 1000. The only time I settle for less than a replacement or full refund is when the damage is like a super tiny paint chip on the back. Anything more and there is no need to settle for less than a replacement. They even send replacements for your replacements if they are damaged. Except the won't replace your replacement's replacement. They will give a refund at that point if you ask again. One thing that people handle customer service is people that won't give up. If you don't give up they will give you a replacement just to get rid of you.

Interesting - I've never had the 50% partial refund offer step before. Just the 15% offer, then when I refuse that and demand a replacement, they just send me the returns label...

I'm actually a little gutted I sold my copy now; Would of been ace to watch this at the Weekend with my son seeing as i'm due to receive it on/before the 21st, but got in on the FS group buy (the lure of the slip was too much...) Sold for just over £40, would of cancelled the order if I could of but because I pre ordered with The Punisher promo at the time I couldn't...

I'm just reading a review of the film for the upcoming blu ray release and it refers to it being like a late 70s early 80s blockbuster where it's fun to watch ....
It then goes on to say that there is a cameo from one of the decades divisive icons . I can't think who it is

Maybe Stan Lee? I'm looking through the cast list and tbh I don't recognise 90% of it!

They're probably referring to Howard the Duck in the post-credits scene.

Same here but NoDings is in the US so Zavvi will play hardball first with all the partial refund requests before they send replacements and I'm going to assume you're allowed to keep the damaged copy as the return postage will cost them more.

Ah - fair point. I didn't spot that! I was actually round his way a couple of weeks ago!!
