For this very special release, Anchor Bay went back to the vaults to present this legendary terror classic as never before, including creating an all-new HD transfer personally supervised by the film's original cinematographer, Academy-Award® nominee Dean Cundey (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Apollo 13, the Back to the Future trilogy), a new 7.1 audio mix (as well as the original mono audio), a brand-new feature length audio commentary by writer/director John Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis, an all-new bonus feature with Ms. Curtis, as well as selected legacy bonus features from previous ABE releases. Available in a collectible limited-edition steelbook package.

Cancelled mine, this is going to drop in price to well under a £10 so I have to cut it with the next couple of weeks of releases coming up.

No inner art, i knew it! Such a shame. Also looks like just the title is embossed not the main art on the front, another down point for me. Still the new transfer sells it for me, consider yourself lucky Anchor Bay.

Who cares if it doesn't have inner artwork, you keep it closed on your shelves anyway.

What matters to me is that it's just a matte finished. :( Or at least if the pumpking and knife would be glossy and the rest matte.

On one hand I'm disappointed with the blank interior.

On the other, I'm just glad it's got a Steelbook release at all. And the back art almost makes up for it! :p

Ah nuts, lack of inner art is a downer. They also got my hopes up for embossed front artwork. Why go to the trouble of adding the border, just to emboss the title only. Why don't they just deboss the title?

Guess I won't picking this one up then - matte black and no inner artwork, at least it's blacked out, better than bare steel and in keeping with the exterior.

It looks poor, but isn't a bad effort considering it is Anchor Bay's first UK Steelbook. If they do any more releases in the future, I hope there is an improvement though.

Disappointing this is not a zavvi exclusive too when i think about it. a limited-ish 4k run wlda made this much much more desirable.

I'm glad it isn't personally. I like Zavvi but I've been burned by them and we have a on going love/hate relationship.

I'm glad we get a SB for this and something is better then nothing imo.

yeah they annoy me alot too, but at least zavvi normaly try to do 4k runs for thier exclusives. I clda said ES also.

The fact that this is probably gonna be freely available for the nxt year or so is arguably its weakest attribute overall imo :(

I AGREE. I Do like the inside art because it feels more complete but when I display it no one ever looks inside and neither do I. I don't think I would be able to tell you what art is in most of the steels that do have it. Once again I do prefer the art just because I feel like its complete and not cheap.

Juste disapointed the pumpkin is not debossed

That would have made it an immediate purchase for me.
