HMV design confirmed as the ONLY steelbook design in Europe for THE HARRY POTTER COLLECTION.
(forget about the French set which, as mentioned previously, is more than likely to be Amarays in disguise)

The Amazon.de German set has a lovely SLIPBOX - plus other goodies which I sure hope are not exclusive to that retailer (!?) - but the mock-up is slightly weird with English print on the box and German print on the individual steels . . .
Finger crossed HMV also gets the slipbox and the other goodies . . . should do with the English print on it . . . and if not I'd say that the U.K. set is unworthy especially for 160 quid.

According to Scanavo:-
"Harry Potter - The Collection
The Harry Potter Collection in SteelBook® packaging is here now – this is a must have for all Harry Potter fans. Each SteelBook® case is treated with a ZERO VARNISH and a cool EMBOSSING and contains 2 discs."

Inside art on all 8:-

Hopefully better images for the inside will be available shortly . . .
Images for the backs would also be nice.

I wonder how us in the UK leaving the EU will effect steel books and movie releases.

I just hope kimchi's hateful eight and few other releases aswel mantas revenant and deadpool don't go live too soon. Exchange rate is ridicolus but so many countries are standing behind us and supporting us now it should all sort out soon. Still will take the uk a few years to used to other things

We help the Steelbook market out a lot on this lil island so I can't see it being an issue, maybe the odd release

By the sounds of things, it's going to drag for a while.

Heard on the radio today that it's going to take ye 2 years alone just to officially leave the feckin thing!!! (EU) so ye're economy will be all over the place until things finally stabilize.

A lot of big companies/businesses will be reluctant to invest money with you until they do.

Yeah it's going to take 2 years to be officially out. I didn't mean everything m will sort out in a few weeks but the rate on sterling should be a bit better soonish. I hope anyway.

But yeah it's going to take some time.

2 years at least. It took Greenland 3 years back in the 80's and they only had a population of 50k. Rumors being 2020 at the next general election. UK for the time being won't be any different for any of the steelbook releases for the time being.

These steels are enticing but If any of you guys dont own these movies i seriously suggest you consider going for the Harry Potter Hogwarts collection, it includes the extended cuts of the first 2 movies, the 3D blurays for the last 2 movies, the dvds and all the special features and documentarys from the previous limited edition sets. It goes on sale alot of the time on amazon for £45 its a really nice set, save yourself some money ;)

Couldn't agree more... lots of content and a great looking set - great value for money! It's the only HP set you need IMO, and it's certainly the only one I'll ever own.

Are these the ultimate editions? I already have the 1 through 6 of the individual ultimate editions but I am missing Deathly Hallows and it is really expensive. It would be cheaper just picking up this set.

Just checked amazon and the set certainly has all of the individual making of documentaries so I'll just be ordering this set I think. The whole set is the same price as Deathly Hallows ultimate part 1 lol.

Thanks for the heads up!!

They are indeed the ultimate editions.

I have just the plain old regular version of Harry Potter 1-8 box set on blu-ray.

What's the difference to the Ultimate Editions? Do they have better picture/sound quality (I always thought my HP blu-rays looked poor and no DTS HD audio) or is it just all about the extras?
