The stores seem to be stocked high with them so getting them isn't a problem.

I had a delivery from them the other day and have to say there packaging was awful, just in a bubble envelope, not the usual standard I expect from Axel (nice rigid cardboard wrap around box in bubble envelope).

So does anyone know what is going to happen to those HP steels in FS come December 29 when WB pulls all HP films back into their vault? Is FS going to hold a super sale of sorts to get rid of them or simply let WB take them away?

Like I said, them WB executives know how to make money grow on the HP trees. I am speculating now but I bet the vaulting of the HP films on physical media is to push this set. Just saying. I suspect they learnt some tough lessons from their other box sets and now that the series is over, they can finally lock it up and make exclusives truly that.

Ash, you are correct. And in addition to the set which has been featured in Harry Potter movie trailers, they also did the stopping of shipments after x date, only on physical media, to give downloads a boost.

Yep, widely publicized, for sure. But it's not that they can't be 'sold' after that date, it's that they won't ship anymore to stores, after that date.

I have turned all my FS HP Steelbooks into 3 disc sets and was going to rush out and purchase the Ultimate edition Blu-rays to put in them. But I will simply wait until the new uber box set comes out then put the discs in my Steelbooks.
