Looks like I'm getting screwed by best buy. Pre-ordered this with nightmare before christmas over 3 weeks ago. I already received nightmare, but got a shipping delay email tonight. Says they will try to ship one or cancel the order by October 3rd. All stores around me are out of this. Not looking good at all.

hi everyone, just a quick update about this group buy from what I've been seeing from Best Buy.

Most stores only stocked 2 copies of this release. My orders were with the website, and had been placed a while back.

I only have a few copies in hand right now, certainly not enough for everyone that has purchased one based on the quantity I ordered from Best Buy and the quantity ordered
from me.

However, given it was a Sunday release day, Best Buy often messes this up, so while I'm currently cautious, I do believe Best Buy will fulfill these orders - but I cannot
give price matches until they are in hand, especially if Best Buy decides not to ship as many as I have ordered.

Lots of problem with this one, it appears - if it helps, my edition from Target shipped a few days late (yesterday), so the delay might be with Disney and not Best Buy.

Thanks in advance for your patience, this might take until next week before I have more info - I could definitely see at the earliest that these ship out later in the week, but
no one really has any info for me right now.

And yes, for those asking, I will try and obtain more copies if they ship the ones I have ordered and it comes back for purchase.

Let's do the math tho - split run between Best Buy USA and Canada, OK sure. 2x per store, is unheard of small. Margins are better if they print more steelbooks.

But when did Disney do anything small? I'm very dubious that this isn't a stock / distributor problem and perhaps not Best Buy's fault.

I wouldn't lose hope yet, but this would be a real mess up if it should only have been an in store exclusive and they released the listing to pre-orders on the site.

These are not available in Canada. Same with Nightmare Before Christmas. Neither were released in Canada.

If Hocus Pocus and Nightmare Before Christmas had come to Canada at $12.99 each this would have been the steelbook deal of the century. I really like Nightmare with the embossing, border and glow in the dark. But not at $40-$50 with shipping.

Even more interesting then, just assumed since a few Canada friends posted on Instagram.

Unless this is a shared run with somewhere else, these will be coming back in stock. That would definitely lead me to a potential supply chain snafu.

They may live close to the U.S. border. I know there are many Canadians who cross the border to buy steelbooks at Best Buy in the U.S. when they are not available in Canada. Unfortunately I am not one of them.

I guess you were right, just got my email that my hocus pocus has been shipped. On a side note, went after work to my local bby and both nightmare and hocus pocus were sold out. Hopefully your right and there is just a delay from the manufacturer and everyone can get in on these at the $12.99 price tag. These are some of the nicer catalog releases bby has released. Not the normal no bossing, bad paint chips, spline slashes etc.

I have cast several spells and I must have chanted, "Hocus, pocus" a hundred times but I just can't get this steelbook to pop up on Best Buy's website to purchase.

No need to cast spells. Best Buy chat rep just told me they are restocking both Hocus and Nightmare for sure. He could not provide a timeline though. i missed out on both so will watch the site and HDN

Went to BB before a short fishing trip. They had 8 in stock according to the system. none on display. After giving her the SKU, she searched the racks. none. Then someone told her to look in the back. And she found em. I bought two. one to open and one for my collection. one of them is an error in packaging. The back of the steel is facing forward.
