Release Schedule (SUBJECT TO APPROVALS!) - We would like to let you know our direction over the next few releases and as stated above, these are subject to approvals. We are taking on board suggestions of movies without steelbook releases but we need some sort of foot in the market before doing so. However, some of those titles have already been brought up in a meeting today, so hopefully we can progress further with those soon.

This schedule is planned to have full Exclusive SteelBook designs (Not just flipped artwork exclusivity). All would feature the same setup as Shaun of the Dead; Full Slip, Lenticular & Blu Box.

Yeah, they F'd it up again. Slip was assembled incorrectly so the top edge is sloped and I can't see any way to fix it. Images aren't printed on the slip, for some reason they're on a piece of paper that's been glued on leaving ugly folds all over the place. Images are misaligned, with the back image slightly curving over onto the spine. Supposed embossing on FS is nowhere near as pronounced as in the beauty shots, it's barely noticeable.

I can't even be bothered unsealing to check the steelbook and extra bits (n)

I don’t know why certain people are getting their nickers in a twist, they said that they would be dispatching this week and the week isn’t over yet.
Meanwhile FAC keep pushing back dates without so much as an email and no one says a word.

Then again I think if anyone that went through the Blufans Iron Man fiasco will have the patience for small delays like this.

If the release date is Sept 28th then I expect my order to ship on release date. Not a week later.

Its not like they didn't know the release date was coming. Surely they should have all orders packed and ready to go on the 28th. 5 says later and still no movement on my order. Then it takes another 5-7 days after that (which is fair enough) This was a big problem with Shaun also, which they were heavily criticized for and were supposed to have taken it on board but they obviously didn't give 2 *****.

And what's with this 'Orders will ship at random' bullshit? Have they no computerised system in place to process orders as they were made? I never heard such nonsense. It's like sticking 2 fingers up to those of us who try to support them by ordering straight away.

They're making it harder and harder to go back for repeat butt fisting every time.

yes, really - i quite like this release. it's not the absolute best, but it's not bad either, although i am sure some will find fault with aspects. so, ladies and cherubs, how does this stack up? warning; i may have gone a bit snap happy... :Snap:

maybe i have been lucky, but all of my everythingBlu releases have arrived promptly. this was a signed-for package. they are also the only company i know who mark their packages 'fragile.' edit: they could easily send this out in a smaller box. and i've never liked this sort of polystyrene pellets, or whatever they are properly called:

again, as for Shaun of the Dead, the box is the absolute stand out part. :drool:

here's the jcard and numbering card - which, oddly, uses the image from the comic wave release from a while back :confused:

how the slips fit in will be contentious for some. it's the same as for SOTD - they do actually fit snug (in my copy), but it looks like they don't - the way it's all made means there is gap around the slips at the entrance:

ok, so it's alright. gloss, title and badge on the back embossed:

the artwork overall is quite good, the inside image is good, and the extras are this time in a nice, silver embossed envelope, which you could actually seal and send if you wanted (no idea who would do that!):

SLIPS
the slip spines do have some bossing, and for those who are interested, here's also a picture of the inside of the empty box:

so to the slips themselves - what i will say about them is i like how it's Pegg and Frost on the back of each one. i don't like the blue colour, not least because it's not the same blue as the box. oh, and yes, they didn't seal the individual slips again :facepalm:

this is the winner for me. the bossing is good, but you do stil get distracted by the horrible blue sky. here's the bossing on the front:

Do you have a facebook account
You can post photos to facebook
Download the photos you posted to facebook to PC or Phone and use these photos to upload in the thread

Photos from facebook will be less in mb size than original photos

Uploading to a third party site then copying on here is far from ideal, why not bulk resize?

If you use Mac, the default Photos app can handle that for you (select the images to export then go to: file > export > select file size from the drop-down menu seen in the second screenshot below (small, medium, large - any of these 3 options will get your image resized to under 2 MB) > export and choose where to save the newly resized pics.

Or if you use Windows, there are apps you can download that'll do that for you.

Or why don't you just reduce the resolution of the photos in the camera settings on your phone.
By far the easiest solution.

Nice box. Pity about the rest. I just can’t get my head around how amateur the slip designs are. EB may have been stymied by the studio I guess. After Scott Pilgrim, this just doesn’t cut it IMO.

Box is fantastic just like Shaun was. The slips have nice texture all around and are a slightly different style than most. They are very sturdy though. Lenti is ok depth to it and fairly clear. Not as good as the top tier lentis but not near the worse. Steelbook itself is lacking. The embossing is very nice but the image is dark and lacks contrast.

Overall its not a bad release but I feel they can do better on the steelbook and lenti with final release of the trilogy. The boxsets they have perfected on all releases so far.
