Everything Blu Facebook

Release Schedule (SUBJECT TO APPROVALS!) - We would like to let you know our direction over the next few releases and as stated above, these are subject to approvals. We are taking on board suggestions of movies without steelbook releases but we need some sort of foot in the market before doing so. However, some of those titles have already been brought up in a meeting today, so hopefully we can progress further with those soon.

This schedule is planned to have full Exclusive SteelBook designs (Not just flipped artwork exclusivity). All would feature the same setup as Shaun of the Dead; Full Slip, Lenticular & Blu Box.

Casino EE 002
Hot Fuzz EE 003
Oblivion EE 004
The Worlds End 005

Thank you to everyone supporting us, please let us know you thoughts on the titles above!!

God forgive me but I like this red-headed stepchild of a release. I got the full slip. Love the detail on the gun.
I like it too. I just dont like the movie so only reason I didnt purchase. SO much love for Hot Fuzz tho think I need to give it another watch .. I must be missing something. Been since BD release since I last watched.

It's worth a rewatch just for Timothy Dalton

Liked Shaun of the Dead a lot.
Thought Hot Fuzz a bit mediocre.
Hated World's End.

I haven’t spent as much time to look through all the goodies yet.

First impressions: The Blubox is beautiful. Amazing embossing, the bullets look great, mine has a little paint bleed. The slip covers are oddly shaped along the edges and corners, possibly to fill the Blubox better. Minimal lenticular effect (about the same as the SotD one). Very nicely detailed spot gloss and embossing on the fullslip. I like that the back is the pair.

The steelbook itself is very dark. A lot of details are lost in their bodies as just a black mass that’s somehow oddly less black than the gun in Simon Pegg’s hand. The top and bottom of the background image is also unnecessarily dark. The embossing/debossing is pretty cool. My shield is slightly misaligned, I wish it was as detailed as the back of the Blubox, but it’s still nice having debossing on the back. The title is a little small, I would’ve preferred it up top and lower them underneath it.

Overall a good effort, not great. I’d give it a solid B rating.

EDIT: Art cards are nice, matte finish, not a high gloss print. The box is thicker at the sides. Comparing this box to SotD, it’s slightly wider and taller because of the difference in thickness. SotD looks a little tighter and better constructed.

I'm sorry guys, but I'm finding it very hard to stay positive about this one.

First off, I'm never going for a lenti from these guys again. They are low-res, blurry and flat as a pancake! I thought that about the SOTD one and I went against my better judgment here and it's just awful.

No matter how you photograph it, it's just dull as dishwater.

The slipbox itself is sturdy enough, but then it feels like it's wrapped in this cheap paper over the top of it. So flimsy, that when I removed the backing card a lump of glue ripped the print right off (see pic below)

The steelbook itself is surprisingly nice though. I really like it. Feels like a quality finish to it. It's just a pity EverythingBlu's slips feel just cheap though IMO.......

I have their SOTD Blu Box, but have so far passed on this. From what I remember (without again inspecting my copies) but SOTD slips seemed pretty solid to me in terms of construction. Certainly not like this "pasted-on outer paper" stuff with the most ugliest fold lines and corners I've ever seen lol :BS: I mean seriously :wtf::wtf:

You can see the difference pretty well in @dfoles 's pic below...
EEK!:stop:

Can't see anyone complaining about the sheer amount of stuff included in this handsome slipbox . . . looks like a shed load when photographed all together like here:-

Anyone w/ this slipbox and THE MUMMY trilogy slipbox can confirm if both boxes have same/very similar measurements?

I just got mine today and I love my Lenticular (which did not have the issue with the adhesive glue dots).
I'm hoping there will be a Worlds End Lenticular Steelbook from EverythingBlu to complete the trilogy.
