How or why did you choose your username?

Denizen relates to a 1988 video game that was released for the ZX spectrum. I used to compose music during the 90's throughout the present and actually titled my 5th album Denizen. Since then, the name kinda stuck with me. Its natural meaning relates to my current state of being too.

As for the avatar, that comes from one of my favorite movies. The Shadow. Still hoping for an eventual steelbook of this one day... :)

I chose it because I'm a stupid idiot with alzheimers that can't remember his own name so he creates a username with it. -__-

Hah, I'm kidding, I do hate my username though. I basically chose it because I used it on another forum, but then I changed it there to a cooler one.

Such a cool name for a kid! Anything to do with Sigourney Weaver's character in the Alien franchise by any chance?

Thank you. Yes she was named after Ellen Ripley. I suggested it to my partner thinking she'd hate the name but she loved it :) I did however say that if we had another girl can we name her Hit Girl but that was a straight 'no chance' :D

Well, i've used KD Scorp for as long as I can remember back when I was playing Runescape or the first Xbox.

KD being the first initial of my first and last name,
Scorp being a shortened version of Scorpion. My first ever username was in fact KD Scorpion, but I shortened it for ease.
I picked Scorp due to the fact I love Scorpions and I have always been fascinated about the exoskeleton which to this day still amazes me =]
It is also a representation of my favourite Mortal Kombat character.

That's a pretty cool thread, only saw it now cos it got bumped :)

Ok here's my story:

Back when I was 18, I was ripped (kick-boxer, lots of time at the gym etc...) and tanned so my friends (mainly the ladies) used to say that I look like a modern version of Apollo (the god from the greek mythology, feel free to read up about him if not familiar :p ) and my ego of course quite liked that, so I started using it as my online nick wherever I registered. Being a French educated person (in Lebanon we have two systems: French education and English/American education, the French schools focus on French AND English whereas the English schools don't teach French other than some rare exceptions), I decided to go with the french version which is Apollon instead of Apollo and voilà :D
