Dreamworks doesnt allow this pics to make the coverart or lenti, sorry.

makes no sense. this is a great representation of the film they created. if they're gonna be sticklers about artwork, then they need to give us more awesome artwork for this movie. Even just doing a simple google search leaves me wanting a bit more in terms of cool and appropriate artwork for a movie like Dragon that was basically pure eye candy, with vibrant colors, awesomely designed characters, and a very rousing adventurous tale. if Dreamworks would just simply make a gallery of 20-30 preapproved amazing images that encompasses the characters and the feel of this movie, we wouldn't have to go through all this. It seems so simple. And it would still be 100% in their control. all studios should do this for all major movies. the ridiculousness of these games that these studios play with "approved" artwork for their own movies is utter nonsense. sorry not trying to be negative but cmon. make some really cool art. let us enjoy your creation. it's not rocket science and could be done by 1 to 2 talented employees in 1 to 2 days and a couple signatures from higher ups. but instead we are left wondering in mystery which ones are approved and which aren't.

i'm excited about this steelbook regardless. i "like" the current choice of lenti. I just think it could be even better.

but anyway thanks for the info.

I really love the proposed cover art, but it looks more like an option for a 2D slip release. I'm not sure how much depth can be displayed with a white background. I'm sure it will look great though ;)

:dunno: I wish the background wasn't plain white. Looking at the gif more, it just bothers me with such a simple design like this. I feel like its a wasted effort to make/print that design as a lenticular cover when it could just do fine as a plain full slip instead.

The gif just doesn't "WOW!" me like other lenticular slips out there. I usually pick the lenticular slip but this time I might just only go for the 1/4

Hey mate, please ask them to make a magnetic lenticular not just a lenticular cover like Transformers 3 HK :naughty:

I prefer nice thick full slip like the KimchiDVD ones. I am moving away from liking magnetic lenticular now especially due to their tendency to dislodge and I have more worries about the magnets being in direct contact with the metal causing minor scratches. :p

I am not liking that lenticular art for some reason. A bit too minimalist in my eyes and I am not sure if the smoke animates. If the smoke animates then it would be awesome. :D

I reckon it will look pretty cool in the flesh, as long as it is white in the background and not translucent...

I agree a bit minimal and should have been maybe part of the flying / training scene etc. but... I think this will be overall an awesome steelie and if I can get in on the GB my first hdzeta - edition ;)

Really looking forward to this, thanks a bunch wxlinkswd, 10th of May has been set in my calendar... bring it on!!

The lenti artwork originally posted could be awesome if done right: that burning flame (from the dragon's breath) on top of Hiccup's head would show and disappear, or would look like it's getting stronger/diminishing depending on how one looks at the lenti... I think that'd be pretty cool.

Hey Xin, was the "effect" mentioned above not possible? Just curious.

Just like the others, I feel that the gif posted portraying the lenti effect is a bit underwhelming.

Thank you for continuously keeping us up to date though!
