As TorrentFreak points out, TimeWarner is conspicuously absent, having declined to cooperate with the time-consuming process of digging up the addresses. Also of note is that the majority of IPs were tracked over a two week period spanning the end of April and the beginning of May.

The next step depends on the DC District Court, which will decide whether ISPs will have to turn over the personal information of the alleged downloaders. If so, the accused will likely be offered a $2500 settlement.

Good, I'm glad .... enough of these lawsuits will scare people in the right direction and hopefully over time it will have a domino effect.

If you cant afford to buy the movie, frickin rent it for a buck. People worked hard to make the movie, support it or dont watch it.

they couldn't possibly sue the thousands of people they want to sue, so they're scaring people into paying 1500 dollars to not get sued to make up for making **** at the box office

not to mention the f-ing movie has movie piracy as a damn MAJOR plot point :hilarious:

i hope they end up losing money trying to sue. i'm not supporting piracy, but this idiot deserves it after what he said

Honestly I doubt they'll get any money from the peeps .... its not worthy of court costs ... I'm all for the scare tactic, just not actually following through with it lol.
