I don't see the need for pushing back release dates.

How many people buy straight from their bank account using a debit card ?

You have to be pretty dumb to do that seeing as you lose all of the online protection that exists for credit card transactions.

Or is it that people don't realise a debit card transaction online offers you only the bare minimum of protection ?

Seeing as interest rates are so low at the moment (although admittedly higher for credit cards) why not just stick them all on a credit card and pay it off over a few months if you find yourself stretched ?

Have always used my debit card too pay for things online, and never had a problem yet :)

I'm guessing your talking about charge back? The big difference with a credit card is on the merchant banking side of things. The card provider can withhold the payment to the 3rd party up to approx 100 days after the transaction. But, do you know that credit card protection only applies to purchases of £100+? Your card provider may assist you, but then so will your bank.

A credit card offers no additional protection over debit card for small transactions. Both will cover you for fraudulent use.

Saying that I am pretty dumb, or others that choose to pay with their own money direct via debit card. without quantifying what you mean, illustrates your ignorance rather than my stupidity.

most days i have a look to see if this has gone up for pre order so when there is a reply on here i think now i can order this to complete the set whether this is the worst one or not but all i read is about credit or debt cards. What has that got to do with this steelbook on this page surely this sought of chat should be done somewhere else, so why can't we chat about this steelbook and the film and leave the other chat for somewhere else. There's always facebook or twitter...

hi Alan, these are very good points and thank you for posting them.

folks, let's keep this on topic - if we need to move posts off this thread, we can.

thanks a bunch

I believe this had to do more with a certain *ahem*, film maker...his name might have "Lucas" in it.

We've heard stories about these types of things before - with the Terminator release we heard that James Cameron was needed to sign off on the transfer of the blu-ray prior to it's release and that's why T1 was delayed for a bit.

Personally, I'm glad to see a few of these get more spread out - that way I can enjoy my favorites over a couple of months and not be overwhelmed with them all arriving in a week or so.

Lucas signed over everything 'Lucasfilm' to Disney for 40 billion though remember? They've got all the rights now. I imagine he wouldn't have too much input into this kind of thing anymore. Also if anyone would sign off on the transfer, surely it would be the director? (Spielberg)

Very well put indeed !

And I thought it was because Wreck had a word with Zavvi. Silly me.

Nice steelbook. Too bad the movie is not as good as the three first ones...

true. it's not as good, but people will still buy the hell out of the 4th steel for a couple main reasons... 1) Completion 2) Really nice looking steel.

#4 will sell out fairly quickly, even to people who don't like the movie as much. (like me :D)

apparently the other three are delayed until july, so this ones date will likely change too, just hope it goes live soon so i can have it preordered like the other three
