This is getting a bit worrying/suspicious as to why the dispatching of 18th August steelbooks have suddenly stopped. I've sent an email to the customer service but with them, getting a straight answer is quite hard.

Agreed. They are very slow in responding, and don't always have the correct information.

What's really disappointing is that we have not heard from Zavvi. If they emailed to say "sorry, there has been an issue and the dispatch will be delayed for a week/month" then at least we would hear something. But the silent treatment is just rude.

Agreed. This is one of the many areas where they really let themselves down as an organisation. In fact, about the only redeeming feature they have is their steelbook exclusives.

As stated above, why can't they keep their loyal customers informed directly? They really do not come across as a customer focussed organisation to me, or many other people. If it weren't for their exclusives, I just don't think I would choose to order from them. With a few exceptions, I can generally find things they have for sale cheaper elsewhere anyway.

Zavvi normaly dispatch in time for the relise date . I'm sure a few years ago the studios kicked off about this and now fine distributors if this happens .

Who knows I'd rather wait and get them well packaged ( although I have had no issues) than looking like a run over tin can by a tank :jawdrop: .

All the Indiana jones and captain America are listed on the "out Monday shipping now" page on zavvi. So I expect a shipping notification today.

Pocahontas was on the Shipping Monday page last week and that's now out over a month from now. I'd frankly be amazed if these aren't all delayed now. Even if Zavvi got them out today only a small number of peeps would get them for Monday. It's curious that other Monday SB's have failed to ship too, has a distinct air or an issue. I guess after waiting this long a bit longer can't hurt.... can it?

Didn't Iron Man 3 start shipping on the Friday before release? I remember it being pretty late.
Now I know that these have the Paramount logo, but seeing as Disney own Lucasfilm as well as Marvel, are we assuming its Disney pulling the strings and holding off dispatch much like Iron Man 3?
Just a thought.

Zavvi are known for shipping items days before the release date. We know that but there might be a delay. As many have mentioned, Zavvi have a number of releases next week. I say, let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

As DB said, if there are any updates regarding these, we will be informed.

That's funny, they originally had Crystal Skull releasing on 8/24 but bumped it up to coincide with these, and now they're all being pushed back to where Crystal Skull was.
