can you believe this from zavvi I have just had to cancel my 3 steelbooks of these because the order I had in from last year had my old address on I asked them to change it but they say they carnt and if I want to keep my order they will be sent to the old address. otherwise I have to cancel. I told them surely they carnt expect me to cancel when the items are sold out but they just said tough basically and said I would have to cancel. I think this personally is a disgrace from this company how they carnt adjust your shipping address is beyond me.

Having thought about this further, they are actually breaking the law! They are breaching Principle 4 of the UK Data Protection Act regarding keeping personal data up to date and accurate:

http://ico.org.uk/for_organisations/data_protection/the_guide/information_standards/principle_4

The ICO even quotes the following scenario:

"records should be updated for customers’ changes of address so that goods are delivered to the correct location."

I had a similar dispute with 3Mobile last year when they said they weren't able to correct my address (that they had recorded incorrectly). When I wrote to their Data Protection Officer to advise them they were breaking the law, not only did they have to change their procedures, they also had to report the breach to the Information Commissioners Office in their regular compliance return!

I would write to Zavvi's DPO at the address I gave previously and tell them that! Should scare them, as they are personally liable for any such breaches, especially where the processes themselves are non-compliant!

To be honest i'm not to fussed with the delays for these, we've already waited a year so a few more days isn't a problem but at least get Captain America out to us, that's a new release that I want to watch again!

I'll believe they've shipped when they arrive through my letter box.
The email I got this morning was the standard "sorry there's a delay" which isn't a surprise. Hopefully these are happening this week.

Well, I'm just hoping they get shipped this year. I've got these addressed to my work place and I'm leaving the company in April 2015. So as long as they get shipped before then, then I'll be happy.

I don't mind the wait. I'm just wondering why has there been a wait? Do we know what has caused the delays with these Indie steels?
