I prefer Play's original. The vibrant spot glossing on the front and back beats the lenti hands down any day for me

I dont usually double dip on steelbooks and keep them, but these and the play.com steels i will be keeping 
Just wait a few months and there'll prob be a 50% discount or more!!!

I'm more concerned about BF or Nova announcing releases.

Yeah, I had both Kimchi & BF, traded the Kimchi as I preferred the thicker, bulkier blufans. I'm hoping for Iron Man 2 and 3 they add more characters to the steel or slipcase and show the full / half body rather than just a face as it would be nice to have a variety.
One massive thing I'm going to moan about is the spine. Why did they write the title in black and not red or gold? You can barely read it. I think the lenticular is decent but not great. The steel without the lenti looks far better IMO.
From somebody who hasn't had the privilege to own Play's IM, I personally LOVE the appearance of this new IM2!!!

Well I'm not a fan.
The lenti lines up and that's good but when compared to the play version in the pics the actual steel looks dull and washed out.
Again these will all be cheap after Christmas

But for those of us who haven't the original Play IM's in our collection, this is ideal. For less than £20 delivered, I'm happy with it
I'm not willing to spend the considerable amounts the Play IM 1+2 currently fetch...
(Even though I especially like them and would like to one day add them to my collection... )

Im going by the pics posted above.
I do actully own the play one (when play got about 15-20 on their site randomly last year or the year before for £12.99 or something) and it's the only one I own of the original releases of iron man, Thor and cap.
I just don't get why people actually like this. The pics look bad and the stone background is awful lol I think some people lie to themselves personally which is a natural human thing to do when they have something that's not as good as what else is on offer.

Plus all you have to do is wait it out and they will be cheaper.
i completely forgot to cancel iron man 3 but I was gona bite the bullet but now it turned up damaged im happy sending it back.
Once all are released I'll decide what ones I want next year when they are cheaper.
These are supposed to be 4000 but if that was the case Zavvi would plaster it over the listing to make it seem more exclusive and I think they are a higher print personally.
Also loads of steels on their site have gone up a lot not just the 2 marvel ones (this and guardians) and they are just having a funny few days plus to see if they can get some orders at those prices. It will all change again soon

In regards to Zavvi's IM2, I like it (and FYI: I'm not kidding myself). Mine arrived today and although I haven't yet opened it, first impressions were good 
I don't quite understand all the negativity but hey ho...

I used to go in CEX a lot hoping to find orginal HMV Thor lol but no luck
I kinda was in the game but not aware of this site. And only had a few but not officially collecting.

But I can't grasp why these are not elite finish and quality like those?
Play was like £10.99 at the time and these are £21.99- £24.99 3D/lenti or not.
They just should not of been matte and it's a cheap way to get them out and all in time for Christmas

My negativity is the finish. It's washed out like the rest (some not so and some over the top)
We should be past this with Zavvi and marvel. They can release beautiful quality gloss steels as wea in other places. Why not here
And when your used to the level of lenti I am now then these are a huge downgrade.
That's not to say I wouldn't pick this up at £9.99 or something
Yeah play about a year and half ago got a few in stock (quite a few managed to snag one) but it's the only one of the originals I own.
I'm not even a massive fan of the original HMV cap and it goes for far too much so I was hoping the new one would be gloss and stuff.
Much prefer the art to the new one compared to HMV but it's a bad finsh and its nearly 2016. Marvel/Disney and Zavvi are fully aware of what collectors want and much negativity after the first few waves of Disney classics they changed them to gloss. Why wasn't that the case here!
Oh well people can enjoy these that's fine but I bet we see a lot of moaning in a month or two when these drop dramatically
