1. Increase mark up price from 10.99 to 14.99 = 4 GBP
2. Add 99 pence on top = 4.99 GBP
3. Put the Steelbook in Zavvi packaging which is quite lightweight than Play. Package weight is still under 250 grams for which Royal Mail charges 4.50.

That's it.

I repeat Zavvi doesn't ship from UK. They ship from Channel Islands or other locations. This means they need not deduct VAT for importers. Same when you buy stuffs from Amazon.co.uk's marketplace Indigostarfish (not sure if they still exists after the LVCR loophole crackdown).

Whilst i agree that uk buyers seem to be the ones again to lose out. We all have a choice, to buy or not to buy, and we choose to buy and zavvi know this

No VAT, I bought 2 9.99 steels and the total was 20.97. So yeah they only charged me .99 shipping for 2 steels. Even better.

Could be worse... The identical Spanish Steelbook is marked up as 25,50€ so baring in mind you'll probably also have to pay postage on that to import it, really we're better off in Britain. Only downside is the Spanish get it before us - Amazon ES are sending theirs out on the 28th August.

I'm veering more towards the German Steelbook out on the 4th October... It's a month later than the UK Steelbook but the current image on Amazon DE shows much nicer artwork. My only worry is how the Germans have a habit of scrawling all over the back of their Steelbooks so fingers crossed they DON'T do this because the front cover's very nice.

maybe if we all bug them.....I'll be cancelling my jungle book pre-order if the price doesnt drop (sadly I'd pay anything up to my personal SB max of £35 for Little Mermaid...even before its sold out )

for the price to get just one disc is shocking, but as i've got IM and IM2 will be getting this. don't mind paying a bit extra instead of the normal amaray but that most likely will be about £8 above is taking the piss

All three Iron Man 3 Slipcovers look more awesome than this steelbook. And that red embossed one looks like the best of the bunch. I seriously might just opt for the slipcover instead, since I have the first 2 with mint condition slips.

The only thing is that I just can't concentrate with all those words on the front... that title.

2nd one looks like current German artwork whilst 1st artwork look very similar to this one. Just has iron man in a box in middle and title above, perhaps Zavvi we do a full slip cover?

We can keep fingers crossed and that would then explain higher price

Right. Perhaps. But see that's the thing... we don't any of that yet. We don't even know the inside and back art.

In fact, we don't even know for certain that the image shown is the true final image for the front cover either.

We don't know embossed/debossed or matte/glossy.

And finally... we don't even know for certain the actual go live price.

So at this point what we have here is 61 pages of purely speculative discussion.
