i dont understand the slipbox concept, i know its a minor detail but it seriously bugs the hell out of me. Why does blufans open to the left and the others, like kimchi and nova open to the right ?

It is because it's BLUFANS, they set trends and they run things. So you just have to get with the program and thank them for it

lol they do set trends just not on this. I know its minor and most dont care but im really OCD on the direction my steels, digis and amarays face. When you put almost anything on the shelf with the spine facing outwards, the front image is always on the right but with blufans slipbox like pacific rim its all to the left. Anyways thats my rant, aside from that i do really look forward to this release and the rest of their marvel titles

I think it'll be easier to make a decision on preference when you have it in hand. For me, I'm glad to have the opportunity to own a premium Iron Man 1 steelbook.

This version looks amazing.

I know some people will internally combust into flames with this comment, but considering the outside artwork on front/back, it would have made an amazing futurepak, with his head completely embossed and no spine/title breaking up the artwork in the middle (a la Godzilla futurepak treatment).

Can't wait to get this one!

What's great about this steelbook:
-Debossing
-Border less
-Double disc hub by default for the movie and bonus features discs

What's not great about this steelbook:
-Gloss finish
-The fact that I can't afford it.

And on a title like this it's great to have two quality options available, between them it should satisfy most collectors needs, particularly if they don't currently own an IM1 SB.

I own the Iron Man 3 Zavvi and the german trilogy steelbook - that's all i can offer from Iron Man.
I'm getting both of them (or all 3 with the 1/4-slip if you will..) anyway,
but you're right - good times for Iron Man and Marvel-fans.
