How about Kimchi coming up with an option like this during checkout "By selecting Yes, you automatically agree to your terms and conditions that you will purchase every Kimchi exclusive Steelbook released this year, and as a token of appreciation, we will guarantee you a copy no matter what happens." EEK!:hilarious:

After the Frozen fiasco (my laptop died anyway midway through checkout) I went back in and re-typed all my details-still took 12 minutes to order Amelie!!!

Because Kimchi's servers can't handle the onslaught of people, and many people end up getting screwed over due to error messages, etc.

Yep! fortunately for me I was on good terms with an established eBay seller and got it for £10 over cost. Which customs would have probably charged me anyway .......... all so the Mrs can perv over Thor! lol :hilarious:

I'm so happy to see the amazing brand expansion Kimchi has gone through in the last year or so. They still have a long way to go, but their releases are some of the best in the market. The trust this community has regarding the quality of Kimchi exclusives says a lot, as many would probably purchase this in a heartbeat. I hope they allocate a certain quantity to be able to host 2-3 small GB. Understanding the complications Kimchi has with their servers, the forward thinking of opening two GB allowed for almost everyone to secure a copy of Frozen. It's smarter to reserve a quantity exclusively for HDN, as we would not be "competing" to secure a copy against consumers that are not part of this community. Look forward to hearing more details regarding this release ;)

no but actually along a similar line of thinking... the reason we all beg for group buys is that it pretty much guarantees you a copy as long as you're able to make a simple comment. then from there it's executed by paying at a later time and it works out pretty well 95+%. so given Kimchi's difficulties, why not operate on a similar level to where all you have to do is add the item to the cart and click confirm order and BAM! You're in! no payment. no checkout process. that can be handled at a later time. maybe payment due anytime within 48 hours or else order automatically gets cancelled. it would be run kinda like a forum group buy. i think it would be a towering success for Kimchi to operate that way at this time.
