I managed to get this along with Iron Man 2 and they were both in mint condition. No spine slashes or dents or scratches. Cannot believe I managed to get one!!

Is there anyone selling this along with IM2 for a decent price? I'm on a marvel run at the mo, and I need these to complete the Avengers Phase 1.

I had an opportunity to snag an IM1 for 38GBP and an IM2 for 32 a few months ago but I stupidly passed it up. I'm scouring the Steelbook sales thread but I'm having real difficulty finding the two (for a reasonable price anyway) Saw a Canadian member selling both but shipping prices are insane.

Finally got my hands on this copy and it is a joy to own, this steell is great looking. I now only need Thor to complete The Avengers Phase 1 Steel Set :D

It's a great feeling completing phase 1, I managed it just the other day, thanks to the Captain America's that surfaced for £30. :D

Thor was the one I just had to take my medicine and pay the going rate for. It was well worth it.

You and I must have similar minds! I'm after the avengers mark 7 or mark IV...

I was very tempted by the avengers mark 7, but the diecast mark 42 looks very special.

Getting a direct $ for £ price and free postage made it an even easier decision. No customs to worry about either. :scat:

surprised to see some of these hittin £99 on the 'bay sealed recently. wonder if it really does have the staying power like the UK steels of old, when it comes to genuine long term value....

I dont think there is anything else is there? anything from the UK that was released relatively recently? those early ES steels for example ran out of steam reaaaaaaal fast, no? :movie:

Just did a quick search and there are around 16 IM1's on sale sealed varying from £45 "starting bids" to £65 "buy nows"

If you're saying that £30-£50 is pocket change you sir earn too much money ;)

It's pocket money when comparing how much Iron Man FS-steelbook is going for.

I think one of the reasons this didn't come as popular is because of how it feels. I think some people have already also said it, this steelbook feels more like plastic than steel.

I personally don't like how they mixed the inner artworks with this one and Iron Man 2.
