I foolishly expected mine today. At the weekend I also won IM 2 German steelbook which I posted in the acquired thread. It's nice, but then I went and spent the cost of my left nut on these two lol.
Will be opening and watching these, can't have unopened steels. For the amount they cost I want to experience the whole thing!

I was certain I was going to come home to the dreaded Royal Mail missed you red card.

I've already spent the cost of both nuts this Month. Wreck It Ralph Blufans, 2 copies of the T2 Kimchi DVD exclusive and these two of course.

Not made the keep sealed or unsealed decision, yet.

Let's hope we have these in hand Tomorrow.

If the layman sells for a profit, people call us scalpers, who the heck are ES? Where have they come from?
Do they even have a company registered in the UK?

Does anyone have a positive thing to say anymore? I'm starting to dislike this forum more and more. All the negative comments about ES, Zavvi, print runs etc. I wouldn't blame any retailer for packing it in. Let's spare a thought for our American friends who get a handful of decent Steelbooks each year. The way some people post on here you begin to think they would actually prefer it like that here in the UK. Steelbook collecting is the best it has ever been in my opinion. Lots of choice, lots of retailers taking collectors' thoughts on board and most importantly some of the best Steelbooks produced to date. It's as if some members here don't enjoy collecting anymore, just moaning about it and if that's the case, why not just move on?

I don't agree. Zavvi is releasing too many steelbooks, ES is a lying company (yeah sure you won the best new retailer prize, I am sure you're not related to the former Play.com retailer with all the exclusives you've got, etc. etc.).

It's not fun anymore, ES is taking advantage of the collector's and other retailers will follow soon and raise their prices aswel.

This is a discussion forum. People are entitled to their own opinions. Moaning is fine as long as it has got valid points and provided it doesn't prolong. Remember, bitching and moaning prompted Studios to react and come up with remasters. The heated debate has been going on for about 2 days which isn't too long. However if it continues this way for a longer period then it doesn't make sense and requires mods to warn members and temporarily lock the thread to cool off.

To be honest all this moaning isn't going to change much, there will be people that will pay £53 for Iron Man. Its quite simple. If you have something rare and highly sought you have that 'power' to demand high prices. It's called business, simple as that. Everyone on the forum is charging around £65-£70. I don't see anyone having attack on those forum members? £53 is the rough price on bids at ebay.

Why pick on Entertainment Store though? The equivalent German versions are even more expensive but people are still ordering those without thinking twice. You've had nothing good to say about either Entertainment Store nor Zavvi that I can recall.

As for whether or not certain members are moaning, it is certainly the case. There is a difference between stating an opinion an posting that same opinion in multiple threads and multiple forums. I have no problem with people expressing opinions, in fact a lot may recall multiple posts of mine in recent times, but needlessly bashing a company is silly and unfair.

Simple, because a business' main aim is to make profit. They don't have a moral obligation to collectors whereas you hope that collectors would for other collectors.

Bashing people trying to make money on eBay and other sites is also unfair and no one has any obligation to collectors as it's about making money. For some strange reason steelbook collectors (not all), seem to think they have some right as to dictate who can buy how many of a certain title. It's been going on long before ES popped up and will carry on doing so. What happens when HMV come back online? Drive, Captain America, Thor, people brought multiple of those yet not a word was said, what's changed??????
