That's because it's not a steelbook, which explains the lack of interest.

CONFIRMATION has been received from PLAY.COM.

Iron Man is indeed sold out. There is a very small chance that the few that ordered due to the direct link still being active may have their order cancelled.

However, play also told us that due to the usual things that happen with any release, orders being cancelled due to bank card declines and the like, everyone that ordered thus far should have their copies secured. This is not a guarantee, but rather an educated guess based on what has happened with orders in the past.

Having said that, if you STILL haven't ordered your first copy, or was one of those that ordered a copy when this problem was active, you should seek an alternative solution, in order to secure a copy. Group buy, trade, etc. Check our trading forum for more info.

It's better to have 2 copies than no copies, IMO.

If any of these things change closer to release date, we will post here on this thread after the first word from play.com

Last I heard it was very close, if not sold out. Keep tabs on the other thread for information about that - we'll post as soon as we can confirm.

Thanks for this info. I've been a lurker on these forums for a few months now and have finally set up an account. I only have 3 posts at the moment so cannot access the trading forum. Is it still possible to get involved in a group buy as I'm worried my orders will get cancelled now. Any help is appreciated, thanks

You should be OK - can't say for sure, obviously, but from everything I've heard you will receive a copy.

However, once you reach 30 posts, you can view the trading forum and the group buy forum for steelbooks. Please do not spam the forum to reach this number of posts though.

This limit is in place to help insure that we have (hopefully) one of the safest places to trade around - and that we know our members before they begin to partake in transactions.

And FYI to any other new members that have recently just joined.

I am definitely glad I jumped in on Surf's GB for this an IM2.
I think people will try and most likely successfully turn this one into another cash cow, but of course not to the heights that the FS one reached. I'll just be happy to have these in my collection! Can't wait to watch em again!

I checked my order history minutes after it had sold out and nearly cried when I realised what I'd done. I used that active link so now just have to wait and see what happens. Cartman keep a close eye on it on the last week before it gets posted thats when it may be back on sale for a very small time with peoples orders that me have canceled or cards declined.

That's exactly what I did. They appeared when I searched steelbook from the homepage. I clicked on 'buy' but it went to a page saying something along the lines of 'we can't seem to find what you're looking for' etc. Then I went back and they were gone
