lucky i have a copy pre-ordered but wait till the release and the flood starts on e-bay selling for ridiculous prices, play should restrict a release like this to so many per customer!!!!

I don't agree that play should limit the number of steels, as people should be allowed to partake in free trade and anyone who bought any number of steels for whatever reason, can do with them what they like. If people want to pay loads over the top then that's what will happen, it's supply and demand and when demand is higher than supply, you get the scenario with the FS Iron Man and Amazon John rambo's and now with the Play Iron Man! I don't think companies should be telling their customers how many of whatever we should buy!

Any current steelbook is embossed & debossed - so just like Thor / Captain America - you can't have one without the other.

We're still working on the 1 or 2 disc info.

was worried with hearing about HMV cancelling pre-orders when card details are changed so contacted Play.com to see what their policy on this was mainly because of IM/IM2 pre-orders, safe to say as long as you card has enough £££ on it you're okay. Just in case anyone was wondering

I'll just go ahead and say no the back. While I dont know, its highly unlikely. Only 2 blu-ray steelbooks have ever had a debossed back. One wasnt even available at retail. (Das Boot German is one)

We like to keep it on topic and yes it can get out of hand very quickly. A lot of people subscribe to the thread for updates on Iron Man and when others are posting about other titles in this thread it can become very frustrating when they get an email on a different subject and visit the forum only to discover it's just chit chat on something else completely.

All we ask is that people respect that and make it as pleasant as possible for everybody.

There is a lounge in the Sticky section for off topic discussions for those that would like to discuss something other than Iron Man.

So lets not fret on it mate, sometimes its a hard task getting rid of some that are ... but the others are replies to something someone else said ... so you gotta remove all to throw the thread back on track. I don't think it was a mistake, I probably was breaking some of the forum rules i'm still not sure? At the risk of it being removed again, all I said is my iron man steelbooks appeared (and they still do) to have been ordered. I have an order conformation (which has go to be automatic?) and have not heard back from play as of yet. This was a few days ago just as the messege went up. If i'm lucky someone will cancel there's and i'll get a couple extra but I doubt it. I'm impressed play have sold out so quickly. English steels never sell out this quickly so i'm glad I got my orders in a few weeks ago as well. I really think this could go on to be the best steelbook england has released, alongside avengers assemble as well..

Your previous statement that was deleted because it talked about how many you had on order.

Frankly, I can care less about how many people might have ordered (or not), but this thread has become very contentious given the popularity of this steelbook. What you do with your steelbooks is your business.

But there will be other members that have missed out on 1 copy. Or might have been on holiday and completely missed this one all together.

That's unfortunate, and there are some hurt feelings when one misses out on this - but stating how many you have ordered only opens you up to comments from other members - which you may feel you need to respond to - whether it be resale, ebay or any number of things.

I've seen a similar topic completely spiral out of control on another forum.

Last thing we need is 10 pages of back and forth about ebay, resale, quantity ordered or the like and then no one will be able to find out if this edition is 1 disc or 2 disc.

That's not what we are about on this forum - we like to have discussion (mostly) on topic, and above board.

If you'd like to talk about retailer limits, how many you might have ordered, or anything to that effect, there are numerous threads already pointed to in this forum and the trading forum.
