Thanks for the info, but the other site still has a massive GB for any FA release, so it doesn’t seem that it was FA’s choice to shrink all GBs in general.Quoting you for context, but this is an FYI for anyone who didn't know.
If you take a look at @CollectorEmtee 's post:
He did indicate the copies would be added on the 15th of June. And that's exactly what happened, in the host's timezone.
He didn't indicate a time, because he didn't know when Karel would be adding the few copies that Filmarena would have allocated him. Is that perfect? Of course not. But we need to remember, the guys are basically doing a favor to other collectors by hosting and facilitating these GBs. Neither one of them works for FA or represents it (unless you meant you spoke to FA directly), neither one of them gets any money for the help they bring (unlike GBs seen elsewhere), apart from when a member might consider sending a tip. So we need to cut them some slack.
The issue remains a simple matter of supply and demand. FA is no longer a newcomer in the hobby like back in the day. Over the years, they have garnered a large number of fans who for the most part buy each and every single one of their releases. Those collectors have been assigned collector numbers, the said number obviously matches the number on the edition bought.
Plus they have their VIP system in place, where pre-orders go earlier for those VIPs than for the general public. It's their way of thanking their loyal collectors for being with them all these years and not skipping any release. Is it perfect? No. But that's the way they chose to do business and those not happy about it, have a choice to make peace with it and buy the release that they can, or vote with their wallet and not buy anything at all from them, even when a title is easily available.
Now, what happens, when you have for example, 1000 collectors with their own collectible numbers, and only 500 copies? Simple really, 500 are going to miss out, at the very least, without counting those who don't even have a collectible number and buy the odd release here and there.
That obviously also affects how many copies would be made available to the host. In the past, Karel had a larger allocation and GB system on here was different. But what happened since, many would drop out of the GB, leaving him hanging with copies he had already paid for and having to store them at his home and workplace, till it got really out of hand, financially and logistically. So he started handling it differently, and his orders with FA shrunk. With time, and as FA is not relying on GBs as much as it used to, they decided to make less copies available for GBs since they can easily move them through their fans who order directly. And here we are.
Maybe the other site, whichever it may be, is able to make good on their allocation every single release. And maybe ninjas haven't been supporting other less popular titles here so the hosts, which do a fantastic job for us, haven't been able to retain their once bigger allocation because of it.
And/or maybe that other site, whichever it may be, won't get as many copies as they would like to think they will.
Give it a rest man,, i missed out as well but it is what it is.No one, criticised anyone's effort or work,
All that I asked for was communication, an explanation, which I had the drag out of the mist like a mad man, cause no one would respond.
Suddenly, others are finally speaking up.
Goodnight + Goodluck
What a miserable year.

You, or the answer you got, didn't shed any new light about anything. All of it has been known for a while now, and a lot of it is common sense.
I know you're mad that you missed, but wake up, read Iron Man's post from a page back, let it sink in and stop your endless rant. If you want the allocation to stay as it is or possibly grow, do your part.
Yes you were. You quoted meOnce again, like a previous post, I wasn't aiming directly at you.
Too much confusion here.

Everyone gets your upset, and you made your point and got many responses. It happens, happened to me recently and i was sat ready to order at a fixed time, still missed out. You just have to move on Joey. These are just volunteers trying to help.![]()

I'll take what I can get!! LOLTo continue the duscussion.
You're on a short list of reasons I've even bothered responding at all.
So please take that compliment.
Well, I thought it was quite a nice mesage.Rubbish, some vague responses in the last day. I have been asking long before, privately.
I'm not that upset at all. It's an average edition .
Just like GITS and others.
No tears here, one pops up, my choice to take or not.
And I never insulted or disrespected anyone.
I asked, on behalf of everyone, why did things change. That's is all.
Now you all attack me?,, , I'm not interested in getting a brown nose. People take money, money is earnt, bonuses are given.
Grow up.

Nobody here is attacking you at all. From what I've seen you've already been answered and by several members, courteously. Basically demand for FAC used to be significantly higher when they were new and growing (and prices were a lot cheaper!) with GB's as you said running into the hundreds quite easily, but we also saw a HUGE decline in purchases when they were pumping out titles left, right and centre, and since then the allocation of copies here appears to have rapidly decreased, sadly, especially for these lower-limit dressed up WWA's. It sucks I know, but it is what it is. FA aren't reliant on our sales anymore, simple. It's time to explore different avenues to secure your copies if needs be, though I see you got lucky with Inception, so it's not all doom and gloom/miserable. Cheer up.so if I read it correctly, you become a VIP by paying extra money for a VIP? and it's not based on loyalty and long term business with them which is what I was thinking. if I'm correct, does anyone know how fast that VIP goes into effect?
I requested one a year or so, got 2000 and something. Not much use as you can imagine. No you do not need to pay extra to become a VIP. However collectible numbers have been given since the beginning of the FAC program early 2015. Lower collectible numbers have already been assigned and when you make your request to obtain a number, you are given the lowest number available at that point in time.
Currently I doubt that there are numbers available which are lower that 1000(but I could be wrong). Nevertheless if the print run is 500 editions, obviously your number must be under 500 to have the opportunity to purchase your numbered copy. Generally print runs for each editions are around 500. Sometimes we get some print run of 750 and 1000. So the higher the number, it is most likely that more collector who own a higher number that was assigned to him/her will be able to purchased his reserved copy.
Again, generally print runs are around 500. If any collector rejects the opportunity to purchase his own copy, the robot will assigned whoever that clicked on “I Want To Buy” button early enough before the button disappearEd the opportunity to purchase the copy.
Rarely copies become available to purchase after the VIP round (which is call Classic Sale). So during the VIP round which is 3 Days before the Classic Sale copied that are not purchased by each VIP are assigned to those who clicked the bottom depending how many copies remain available.
so if I read it correctly, you become a VIP by paying extra money for a VIP? and it's not based on loyalty and long term business with them which is what I was thinking. if I'm correct, does anyone know how fast that VIP goes into effect?
