So yeah, I was surprised their was no topic on this one ... it's the holy grail of all things SteelBook. (least, blu-ray steelbook that is.)

Its been sold for $500 and 300 euros just for the empty case alone. Super rare, thought to have been limited to only 2,000 copies.

And this last pic which is nicely laid out came compliments of Tiger, a hardcore collector :)

:yawn:All true Copies had that:whistle:

Nope. I suggest you start looking at the back of every sealed copy. :naughty:

The one that sold on eBay for £620 never had that sticker. Start hunting every sealed copy :yawn:

Sorry my friend but I’m not going to waste my time debating over a sticker

A true copy does NOT need that sticker on the back. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist because it does exist as it’s on your copy. But a genuine sealed copy doesn’t need it my friend ;)

That sticker is just like one of those barcode stickers at the back. Some copies have it some don't. Looks like it came off and just got stuck back on the wrong way, easy to peel off right and stick back on? :hilarious: It's not essential IMO. The most important ones are the Red and Blue one on the front with the correct seal and specific folding pattern top and bottom with the very small blu-ray writing on the seal.

But for those that want a true sealed copy, what I said original will suffice, even if it doesn't have this sticker :p

Anyway @McClane 80 can continue his buzz in owning this grail :sing:. You keep going my son! For me I have unsubscribed!

@Mickle_89 @wouter - FYI in hunting this down ;)

I really don't care anymore  That's why I got rid of my sealed and opened copy :p
JR has had it's days..:giggle:
Don't disrespect an original grail or you'll kill the hobby. haha

honestly tho, this is a release that those who never had in hand ( i know you did) cant usually wrap their head around why it was so coveted. I never owned it but a friend did once upon a time who I saw it at their house and then I understood. Sure the limited nature always plays in the hand of what can be called a so called grail ... but it was the metallic like rain drops that are very hard to capture in a photo. the post above with all those photos only one of those photos barely captures it. Lovely steel in hand.

There’s a reason this is still hanging in the top ten most expensive steelbooks as per my value thread created :cigar:

I don’t think this steelbook is a popular demand for lots of collectors. It doesn’t have a worldwide appeal. But what it does have is a cult type appeal within the steelbook community. And it’s those few cult collectors that can still drive the price up as opposed to a larger fanbase.

It reminds me of Le Grande Bleu JP, which was ultra rare, which made it very special, and only
appealed to certain collectors, before Kimchi destroyed it with an identicle release. Well done Tony and Kimchi, hands down, had to cash in on LGB as an exclusive out of all the titles you could had chosen you silly piece of **Beep Beep** sausage shall I say without being ‘modded’ lol

Iron Man FS, also still hanging in there in the top ten, has more worldwide appeal thanks to it being Marvel. But IM has an 8K qty so it doesn’t have the ‘rare’ factor as opposed to JR.

What I would agree on is it is better in person to own. The back German writing and blue banner, an old German foot print trade mark

It is an old grail. It’s has its prime days @Wreck :p

The new generation steels are out there.

I agree it is a classic, but a very old classic and time has moved on to more exciting things ;) doesn’t mean this can’t be revisited.

If I had to choose which was my fav ‘old’ grail that would be a tough choice.

Each Edition is unique as I think, if JR Steel or the JR Mediabook ! Steel is not a Mediabook and if it is only about the Movie you can to buy the Amaray.:naughty:Iron Man is there so much Editions and nice for example UK Play.com Steel, Zavvi etc. But for me is the best the old classic grail from Future Shop:thumbs:Gladiator TW or HDzeta, AU Steelcase Edition, FAC Edition all great and self Movie but the Editions
each one is different.:thumbs:This is about a Collector passion. Le Grande Bleu JP will always be a unique piece
despite the Kimchi Edition.:naughty: But this is all, a
a matter of taste:p The German JR Mediabook is recently appeared and it's nice:thumbs::whistle:but it is never a sealed JR Amazon Steelbook;)
