Jurassic Park 1 and 2 Hinted for 4th Quarter Release

North American release

Brana, Future Shop Canadas new movie product buyer hinted at this also. He didn't give a release date, but i would imagine it would be within the same month. Although he never went into detail about there being both 1 and 2 released. Anyhoo here is his quote below.

These are in fact the first two things I have talk to the studios about when building Steelbook. The form factor needs to be Bluray sized and absolutely no French on the back. We really want these releases to be highly collectible. I am open to any suggestions as well for SBs you guys would liek to see. One of my goals for this year is to go back and relaunch some already released on BD 'classics' on SB, of course if we can get artwork that is cool enough. I personally would love to see a Leon The Professional SB, Fifth Element, Gladiator and Flight Club to name a few. Ian had a few NR titles in the works from before the holidays that I am finalazing now. We have 2012 coming for March 2, New Moon for March 20 and Sherlock Holmes for March 30th in the works. Just to give you guys a heads up if you haven't read about this already but there are some cool first to Bluray titles coming this year: includes LOTR, Indiana Jones Quadrilogy, Alien Quadrilogy, Dr Zhivago, Saving Private Ryan, Jurassic Park, Scarface & Back To The Future Trilogy.

Jurassic park was the first film i bought when i had my first 5.1 setup.

Had a massive 32" wide screen Sony, was amazed at the sound the rain drops actually sounded like they where falling in the living room. That was the first and last time thus far ive ever had anything above stereo.. :O(

On October 25th 2011 Jurassic Park will be releasing in the USA on blu-ray. An ultimate box set for the trilogy will be released along with a collectors edition that should make any JP fan drool. The same set is supposed to be available in Spain and France as well. More Countries should be getting announcements soon. The UK is showing a listing for a Collectors Tin, and France has recently unveiled what looks to be a G1 (DVD size) blu-ray steelbook for the three though no true confirmations have been made.
