Release date of October 27th, 2011.

Thanks Urbeen for originally posting a pic from Ebay De.

Note-Media Markt does not ship-please see if there are any open 'Group Buys' in the Steelbook trading area.

Thanks for the spine Incubali!

Well, here it is .... Taking the metal off the jumbo is the easiest part. Pull from the top or bottom, not the sides ... very easy to get off. Trashing a steelbook, unless you got a denter lying around is the hard part as you will need a plastic tray for the inside. ;) Dealing with the spine is also the hardest, esp if you want art on the inside.

Well, for me I guess it was hard because I didnt use a print shop. I used photo paper for a printer that you can buy at Wal-mart. I printed out the spine and cut out the other art for the inside to match and then super glued them back to back and the already sticky residue left from when I yanked off the spine from the plastic inside was enough to keep it on very well!

Oh and I made a custom JP steelbook display stand. ;) I used the spine (which is a sticker on Jumbos) off the jumbo. :D

ps. I actually like Jumbos though. I own 4.

That's awesome! But I'm too chicken to try this out :)

Very nice work! :scat:

Mint job wreck. But like a few others I am bricking it trying to turn it into a regular steelbook. Last time I tried stripping down a steelbook it was trainspotting and it ended up looking like the spine had been microwaved. (I forgot to warm the glue up on the spine and it creased all the way down)

Anyone tried the digital copies - do they only come with German dubbed audio?

I think they should give you the option to download with any of the available languages, but I bought Inception a while back and the digital copy was in German.

I saw this in person the other day. My first reaction was.....EEK!EEK!EEK!
At first I didn't know he had converted this himself and wondered where he got it from.

Anyways, it was a BEAUT!

When did this version come out? I thought it was the fat wider steelbook. This one looks better.

This is a custom one. Wreck transformed the jumbo into a regular sized one. Tricky and dangerous, but if you master it, this is what a jumbo could end up looking like :scat:

Personnaly, I don't have the cojones to give it a try :p

What piece of art! Didn't think you could change them so fit without damaging them :scat:

Oh yes, for sure you can. Most tricky part is the spine and maybe to remove the outer metal parts from the plastic inlay. But with some time and the right (plastic) tools, you can rebuild every fat into a slim.

Most difficult part is also to find those plastic Scanavo Inlays. You can -only- use them from dented Steelbooks you may have.
