We've had no communication from them but if the last two silver label ones are any indication, I would not assume we'll be getting a group buy here.

Seems like group buys are not going to be offered on HDN any more.

Say what???!!! EEK!EEK!EEK! But I thought we always had at least some qty for GOLD label releases such as this? (n):dunno::(

That really stinks because if it were not for the GB I would not have been able to secure the EOT box-set and I really need JL to keep the box-set collection going (have all of them to date). I do not understand the cold shoulder treatment since this site was so helpful to HDZeta in the past and undoubtedly played a big part in establishing the current customer base.

If @cooey or I see a group buy posted in the GB section, we can post on this thread and let you guys know.

But at this time, I would assume there will not be one and make plans accordingly. :bag:

I Thought I read that Alex posted there will be a group buy

Oh well, I’m at work but I’ll have to disappear to the toilet and try to order direct

The site has been a real nightmare of late.

I knew it would be a wise decision to plan ahead for this one. I'm happy I've already secured my DL elsewhere now at this point and can sit out the chaos tomorrow :ohno:

What time does it go live UK time?

It´s getting worse and worse with HDzeta. So they becoming partners with MP only or what?

If there isn’t a GB here that will be very disappointing. I can’t order direct and I won’t be paying ebay prices so HDzeta releases will become very difficult to obtain.:(

A shame. I like HDzeta's releases. But their usually poor communication and their erratic and very user unfriendly website is a real bummer! Most releases still sell out in spite of all of it. Maybe that's part of the problem, no incentive to change.

I took this on board too and just waiting for the date n time to roll around, presuming it will still go ahead unless otherwise stated.
I still think it will.

Wasn't it 15.00 hours UK time?

Assuming a member of HDN staff can be around then. Often my schedule allows me to be available around 13.00 - 14.00 hours UK time but I seem to have work meetings at 15.00

So if we see a group buy posted, staff will try to post back on this thread ASAP with a live time window.

Dude, do whatever you can do. The fact is people (yourselves) do have lives and if this window is missed then it's missed. I'll just keep checking and I urge others to do the same.
You can't put your lives on hold for a group buy and I certainly appreciate the efforts you all go to.

I don't want to start an argument here, but what I'm about to say might anyway. This is speculation, but does anyone else think that the way HDZeta is treated here has anything to do with why the communication and GB allocation is so poor here?

The mods here do a great job of being professional and courteous to them - but some of the members here throw out some really nasty posts about how they do business that I'm really not surprised the communication gets worse and they avoid coming here. If their releases sell out elsewhere, what incentive do they have to keep coming back to where they get treated like crap? I've heard stories about the kind of private messages people receive when something goes wrong, and I would bet money that the HDZeta hosts are victims of some of these - especially after the unfortunate overselling of Interstellar, and the two releases that had production issues (Blade Runner, It).

Again, I'm not looking to start a fight by any means, but maybe make some people think about how they treat others online. Don't respond with how "it's a business", "the customer is always right and they should listen to us", "they need to change this and this about how they do things". They are people too and I can only imagine how it makes them feel to read some of the posts here. It would be very hard not to take them personally. Be kind, don't harass them with update messages and maybe we could encourage them to come back.

I say all of this without knowing what is said on other forums where they host group buys. But the world needs some more positivity and if we can spread that here that's kinda the only way I see us being able to reverse the trend of them going away.

This isn't about "feelings" as far as I'm concerned. I said that I like HDzeta's releases and I do.They do nice work and I own quite a few. But their website is not updated with any regularity and their system is slow, freezes, or whatever. It used to be more during high demand. Lately its been happening all the time. Not user friendly. More like user frustrating. I'm not trying to hurt any ones feelings. It is a business. The customer is not always right but when the customer can't order your product because your site is erratic and untrustworthy you should be concerned. I certainly would be. I would really like to see them do a better job with their website and ordering process. Improve the website, do whatever is needed so their system works better, add Paypal as an option, update their security certificate, etc. I really don't think that's unreasonable or "hurtful". I consider those to be constructive suggestions.
