You've just described my exact situation too. Ordered 2, both arrived with scratches, then ordered a further 2 when they went back up Monday but both of those have arrived damaged too. Thankfully 1 of them is not too bad, with only a handful of small paint chips. It's ridiculous, shouldn't have to order this many......

yep its very annoying having to keep ordering just to try and find a mint or near mint copy, i would of given up normally after 2 dodgy ones but as i really liked this steel and the film is good i thought i would give it another go, i have missed out on quite a few different steels due to being scratched to death.

I received my copy today with, to my horror, huge circular dents where the bullets are supposed to be, on both the front AND back.

Annoyed is an understatement - and there's no hope of a replacement either.

I won't be ordering anymore steelbooks from Play, that's for sure.

Best bet if someone wants a pristine one would be to buy a opened copy with pics to show its condition is the only way

Buying multiple copies to guarantee you get a mint one KI$$ of death

Damaged ones from play.com are given to another reseller to move - so they won't go to Zavvi. Zavvi just got the over (or under) stocks.

Just saw this on Zaavi website, its on pre-order (out 28th January)... anyone who have not got a copy head over to there. £14.95. I guess this is no longer a Exclusive to play.com.

Zavvi have never (or rarely) had anything on pre-order sell out, they dont know what their in for with the demonic steelbook collectors. The pre-order is up, probably reamin up until the 28th, then theyll realise theyve only got 400 copies and 3,000 orders.

I also heard that Zavvis Website is not linked to their Warehouse. So basically there website has no idea how much stock is available and will continue to accept orders until the listing is manually taken down.
