ordered lethal weapon with empire of the sun, and re-ordered 6 other pre-order steelbooks, gaining a 10% discount on total order. A saving of £12.70 not a bad days work. Nice !!!

I suspect it will be the director's cut simply because virtually all steelbooks I've got from Zavvi have been any special edition of that particular film with all the extras. The only exception was The French Connection which was not the corrected colour version.

The 'Directors' Cut (or extended cut) has never been released on BD though. Only on DVD

Both the original released and remastered Blu-rays contain the theatrical cut.

i have the directors cut on dvd and was gonna go for this but once again
you can see the lack of energy that has been put into this steelbook,
zavvi you should be ashamed of yourselves..

I'm sitting here deciding whether to pull the trigger or not (pun intended). I already have the U.S. box with all 4 films, but if Zavvi plans on releasing all 4 in Steelbook form then I'm in for this. Then again, I still have the "Rocky" Steelbook sitting on my shelf because I was SURE they were going to do all the films because of the cleverness of the design (Rocky on the front, his opponent from each film on the back). I guess that's not happening. I'm afraid "Lethal Weapon" will be another repeat of that...

I thought the same- the biggest question I'd have if Zavvi were planning on releasing the other 3 is what design they'd incorporate onto the covers for 2-4; The series would have to have a 'uniform' feel to it, but the design on this is so plain I don't know what they'd do with the others- Different coloured fronts maybe??!!
God knows...

Well, let's see... The second film would have an embossed anti-apartheid sticker near the 2, the third film would look almost identical to the first film's Steelbook except the bullet would be an ARMOR PIERCING bullet, and the fourth film would have a Chinese take-out container and a bunch of glossy, disappointed audience members on it.

I've ordered this, as it might look better than in hand. However, if there is no announcement of the three getting Steelbooks, then this will be cancelled or go back. There is no point without a full set. Like most, I already have the boxset.

How's that going to work out for you? They're hardly going to announce parts 2,3 and 4 by the time this gets released and delivered to your door. And you could hardly return in say a year's time if they decide to announce a Lethal Weapon 2 Steelbook then?? You could be waiting a long time for the sequels.

This reminds me of the boring, out-of-touch designs for the newest Die Hard wave. Only more boringer.

Oooooo! A bullet! Because guns! Action-tastic!

In the UK you get 28 days to decide if you want to keep an item, when bought online. So if no announcement in that time, this will go back for a refund. If it gets announced after that, then I'll loose out. Without the rest would bug me and I think it might be a problem trying to sell on after, knowing it won'the be complete. So I'd rather have the refund and not gamble.

It's 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations that came into effect on 13 June 2014.

Its this really a directors cut and does Zavvi ship to Ireland might buy

I think Zavvi do ship to Ireland and no one knows yet if it's the directors cut or not. I would guess no, as I'm sure Zavvi would be saying it is, if it does to sell more copies.
