I have just recieved this from a seller on eBay, only noticed this page on the forum saying about defective Taiwan copies after I'd won and paid for it but figured I had no choice but to wait till it arrive and hope it was a newer copy. However, straight away I noticed it looked bent across the bottom right of the steel and the Debossing on the front flexes badly (as with the Captain America and Cowboys and Aliens steels) when laid flat on its side you can clearly see it bends upwards across the front where it opens, and again the finish of the spine top and bottom is poor yet is has the newer folded shrinkwrapping? What should I do as the seller won't accept returns? Can I get eBay to authorise a return on the grounds of the item being defective? Help on this appreciated please

I believe they all kinda flex upwards. I had 2 like that , one taiwan and one korea ... it wasnt all that bad, and its a beautiful steel. Post some pics and I can at least check them out and see if it resembles mine. If it does and you still dont want it nor deal with hassle or returning you can

Embossed Steels flexes more than debossed Steels but flexing is not uncommon with these type of Steels.

Thanks for the help, yeah it is gorgeous, been after it for a while! Don't mind a bit of flexing as you say it's to be expected with Debossing etc.. But it is quite bad on mine plus its quite an obvious bend on it, cost me a lot of money so would have liked/ expected one of better quality. Will buy from yesasia next time

Wow, too bad it looks like that. Got mine back in Nov. from JSDVD.mall and they did not have any bow. You guys are so lucky this is still available. One of the crown jewels of my collection. I think I was possibly just unlucky? I'm assuming I got one of the earlier pressings that was of poorer quality as mentioned earlier in this thread; in which case I've been dupped! Although I guess it could have just got bent in transit from China? Saying that to give credit to the seller it was wrapped in two lots of bubble wrap sandwiched in one of those bubble wrap sleeves Amazon often use so maybe I'm just being naive? Best of luck in getting yourself a mintier than mint copy

I've used Yesasia for quite a few years now and not had any problems from them. No issues with steelbooks ordered from them, all received in mint condition
JSDVD's packaging is better as they ship in boxes with plenty of protection.
Overall cost-wise JSDVD comes about abit cheap between the two but for me I go with Yesasia to avoid problems with import charges.

i have ordered from yesasia before, the packaging was fantastic. plenty of bubble wrap.

They normally send a second invoice for shipping.
27€ is only the price for the steelbook.
