Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:

1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund

2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

My guess is very big print run. A lot of HMV titles have been having very large print runs. I know of a certain one that got 50k for example. Sorry I dont want to say which for reasons of confidentiality.

Copies are already printed. Question, IMO, is more about what the distributor wants to do with them so they are sold.

I've cancelled my HMV order in light of the possibility of them not fulfilling their returns policy should it turn up damaged (and lets face it damaged items are a distinct possibility)

If they have it in store on release day though I'll happily get it from there.

Never pre-ordered this, I was just going to pick it up in store. Hopefully they'll still stock it, might be the last time I can touch a steel before purchase!

It's up to you whether or not you want to believe that mate. I'm not saying it's untrue... but until we have proof, I'm taking it as rumour for now.
