I didn't love nor hate the film... thought it was just OK. I'm hoping I enjoy it more on rewatch though.

It keeps popping up on my Facebook timeline advertising and there's a lot of hate for it in the comments.
A lot of people seem to watch it expecting it to be a serious film/based on reality and can't get around the fact that it's not. It's very much action and science fiction.
Most of the hate I've seen for it has been because they can't get past the % of brain use not being based on fact.

One of my co-workers hated Lucy, yet loved Limitless. At which point I was just there thinking, so you hate Lucy because it's not based on fact (which is what they told me), but you love Limitless which is also not based on fact?... Okay then.

They sound like me, didn't care much for Guardians of the Galaxy (controversial comment alert!) yet loved Sucker Punch. I don't know why I enjoyed it so much, it's totally something I would normally loathe. Thinking of giving this film a watch.

I thought Guardians of the Galaxy was okay, but not as fantastic as everyone else made it out to be. But shh, we'll start an uprising or something . I love Sucker Punch too (though that's probably pretty obvious considering my avatar :p) when I've finally finished unpacking all my stuff (I moved recently) I'll probably finally get round to taking some pics of my sucker punch collection (other than just Steelbooks).

I think Lucy is definitely worth a watch personally.

Oh people on Facebook don't like it so it must be bad! Pmsl.

The 3rd most successful female fronted opening in history with a huge call from fans to get a sequel. Any critical review I read liked it, and the public did too earning over 400million at the box office, which a film of this nature doesn't do without repeat viewings. [emoji3]

I'm not saying that, I'm letting you know of the hate for it elsewhere. People on here love it, the comments elsewhere hate it. And I for one did not like it.

rotten tomatoes 66percent rating of lucy tells a different story

I don't understand why people don't understand how people could like Limitless (I thought it was amazing), couldn't like Lucy (I think is garbage). Cooper in Limitless gains no powers other than intelligence. Lucy gets so powerful that all the plotline of the second half of the film is pointless because
we saw she can kill/put to sleep anyone at anytime. She is portrayed as approaching Dr. Manhattan levels of power yet she is still attached to the human race.

Certified fresh then. Although I like reading them, I take all reviews with a pinch of salt. Some of the best films of all time were misunderstood and under-appreciated by the masses. Lucy is bloody brilliant.

i definitely do want to see it, johanssen is one of my fav actors and i understand the film is directed by the same person behind the fifth element.. which i enjoyed, so i think i will like the film.i just wont enjoy spending £22 on it lol
