Wow! I really didn't see this selling out (the movie itself got slated by a number of members on here alone!) but it's Zavvi, so who knows?

this is zavvi doesn't seem strange we where talking about cancelling then without warning miraculously its sold out without any warning from the staff.
to me would seem yet another zavvi ploy/tactic is going on yet again one of the many of late.

basil

bollocks!
seem's I cancelled this and NOT Tarzan as I thought I was doing (seems to be my mistake but I could've swore I left this on preorder as its not out until next year...)

Gutted its raised in price £2 as well :(

Check the GER/SPA ones, they're the same (a little more expensive, maybe )

A lot of the time but not always. V For Vendetta never came back in stock after the release day when the final cancelled copies came back. Neither have a few others. Personally if I like the film I leave them ordered. Beats paying silly money on fleebay! :D

It definitely isnt sold out and will definitely be coming back in stock. anyone who hasnt lived in a cave the last few years who knows how zavvi operates can say that with 100 percent confidence. plus the fact i cancelled my copy, and there are countless others who did too due to the black friday/christmas holiday period.

sold out means nothing

i will break it down what sold out on zavvi actually means

-there are 1000 left but they have been taken offline to create the illusion of scarcity, to be put back online at a later date at an inflated price

-there are 1000 left but they are lost somewhere in the warehouse

-there are 1000 left but the system for counting stock hasnt been updated

-there are 1000 left but they are reserved for zavvi outlets on ebay, play, amazon etc

-there are 1000 left from pre-order cancels but they just havent got around to sorting it back into the system

-there are 1000 left which are reserved for sales, promotions, conventions and holidays where they will return at an inflated price

-there are 1000 left for replacements

you get the idea

Or, that it's sold out. :p

Having said that, considering it's 4k copies rather than 2k, I'd be surprised if it has completely sold out (after cancellations come back in stock) despite the fact that I thought it was a great film.

It's the season, decorated trees, children with happiness in their hearts, Christmas cards being exchanged and a month to go before the Blu Ray release date the first of the Zavvi " sorry your order hasn't been sent yet"emails.

Oh Zavvi and your quaint outdated not fit for purpose ordering / stock control system , how to make this time of year oh so special.
