Movie that has gorgeous visuals and astonishing performance by Angelina Jolie, but also uninspiring direction, somewhat dull plot and some other silly Hollywood elements. I would buy a Saving Mr. Banks steelbook, but this? No, not as long as it has that 25£ price tag at least. Maleficent isn't a horrible film, but it also isn't something that I was expecting - magnificent.

went to see the movie this morning and i must agree with the comments above , stunning visuals and decent performance from Angelina Jolie but that's about it

at £25 i'm gonna skip this steelbook release as i think this movie hasn't any replay value

I'd rather just buy this steel as a blind purchase for £25 and risk hating it, than pay more than £25 for me and the mrs to watch it at the cinema... I can at least sell the steelbook if I do hate it and probably only lose a few quid ;)

Yikes. EEK! Pick up the steelbook instead!!!:scat:

I always tell everyone to buy the Blu-ray instead of going to the theater. It just makes more sense. You actually save money and have a perfect seat everytime.

I have disagree about this, some films just have to be seen at the cinema in my opinion. I would have hated seeing something like Tron Legacy or Gravity for the first time at home - watching these films in IMAX 3D just blew my socks off to be honest :scat:

I am outside London and it's still £12.50 to watch this in 3D at my local cinema.

same here southampton normal 3d in normal screen is £12.25 but if want to watch IMAX 3D is £14.75 and that be one i'd watch in only if i'm honest.

I remember when i was a kid used to be £3.50 in local small cinema's cosham portsmouth and if you got screen 1 it was size of an imax screen, it was least twice the size of screens 2 and 3 oh the good old days showing my age now :hilarious:

basil
