I haven't gone there yet I was discouraged by the genius in the Panorama location. I will be going in the next few days to ask if not ill go to the one in Simi Valley or I'll have my brother call or go to a couple to try and get some information.

This pre-order is a hot item at least around here - when I picked this up last Friday, there were two slots full of them, easily over 60 copies. Tonight in the same store when I went back to grab some for friends, only 5 left!! Mind you, there is no movie whatsoever, just the magnet and exclusive content for USD$26.50! Wow!

The exclusive content available now after code redemption is a prequel comic co-created by Goyer, Snyder and GeoffJohns.

I think it's quite obviously a slipcover. You can see the blue border at the top continues around the spine of it.

You could argue that's the J-card, but it wouldn't continue around the side. And blue borders on Steelbooks are a thing of the past (unless you're from Germany or France!) and I seriously doubt a mainstream movie like this would have one.

Slipcover! :squint:

Do we have anyone yet that can confirm or deny if this is actually a steelbook. I know Wreck had made the comment previously, but no one has changed the OP as per this.

Well seeing the movie just opened to record breaking numbers this past weekend, I think it is safe to say there is still a lot left unknown at this point. But that is a good thing right? It keeps the buzz going for this movie, nay, masterpiece of visual artwork. Whether Wal-mart will get the exclusive steelbook or not, we know there will be a US steelbook release :D

I have those Man of Steel OST Deluxe Edition in metalpak. Loves the emboss logo & text on front cover.

Now the big question is whether you have opened it and given it a spin ;) Tracks 7 and 8 are simply the most brilliant piece of music ever written and performed. Listen to them back to back, it will blow your mind

And don't miss the bonus disk on the CD album - the first track on the bonus disk will blow your socks off when you hear how close Hans had it to the final product during his "sketching phase" and yes he has nailed the new Superman theme ;)

Went to Walmart today to check this out. Saw a rack of these. It's a lenticular magnet card. If it will be a steelbook, they certainly are not disclosing that anywhere on these preorder magnets. They look pretty cool, but sorry folks nowhere does it indicate steelbook, and the image on the packet looks like a slipcover for sure. I hope I turn out to be completely wrong, but I left without it.
